MSMC ABSN Fall 2013 Program

Hi!!

Just wanted to see if there were any other people on here that applied for the Mount St. Mary's ABSN Fall 2013 program? I just turned in my application yesterday and crossing my fingers that I get in.

From reading other threads about this program, I hear it's pretty competitive.

Hope to hear from some other people soon who also applied so we can all wait this out together! :)

Goodluck Carolina and all fellow prospective students, hopefully we all get in!:)

My interview is tomorrow, june 4th at 830 am! I am also nervous, but as long as we do our best, everything else will fall into place! Goodluck to everyone once again!

Hi mgolikov55,

My interview is on Friday the 7th. How did your interview go? Can you give us a hint on how to prepare for ours? Hopefully we will all be accepted. Goodluck to everyone!!!!

Pfew got the email invitation today and interviewing Friday. From previous threads, it is a short interview that basically will ask you questions similar to the ones on the essay, in addition to pthers about your ethics/character etc. it is a religious school and i remember someone telling me that one of the question was "have you ever done anything unethical in the past". There is also a math test. Anyone who went to this week's interview can clarify? Thanks.

Hello, guys!!! I had an interview yesterday (June 3). -------------------- (if I am correct) was interviewing me. She was very nice and made me feel comfortable talking with her. She asked a couple of questions: "Why you decided to change your profession? Why do you want to become a nurse? How you prepared mentally and physically for this rigorous program? If something does not go according to schedule, how would you deal with it? Whether you have been in an ethical dilemma and how you dealt with it?" Good luck, everybody!!!! I hope I will meet you in August.

:)Hi Aleks1281! Thanks for your insight. I have an interview this week so your post really helps. Did you have to take the math test already? ...if so what's it like? Thanks and hope we all make the cut.

x-smiler,

I had my interview today.. I didn't have a math test. She asked me about 4 or 5 questions.. Involving stressful situations and why I want to be a nurse. She was very nice and gave me background information about the program and asked me if I had questions. It went pretty quick about 10-15 minutes. Seems like everyone had different questions asked. Goodluck everyone and I hope we all get in!

No, I did not take a math test yet. First, we should receive an acceptance letter. Good luck, yesjess, on your interview. Will see you soon (I hope)....

Thanks mgolikov55 and Aleks1281,

Mine is on Friday. I hope all of us will see soon as classmates:)

I received an email for an interview this morning! Best of luck to all and thank you to those who have given advice and insight from their interviews!

I got an interview email this morning! After everything that had happened during the application process for me, I was in shock! I was really convinced that I wasn't even being considered that I was planning my registration for CNA licensure for different entry-level MSN and ABSN programs. Still trying not to get my hopes up! Good luck to everyone still waiting!

I received my interview email today too. I think I'm still in shock. I had been prepping myself for the rejection letter.... Thank you all for giving ur interview tips and I wish the interviewees luck!

Hi All!

Congrats to all those who have received interviews! I had mine today. The interviewer was very nice and the whole thing was a lot less stressful than I had anticipated. The interview took about 15 minutes and she just asked me about 4-5 questions about why I wanted to be a nurse and things like "tell me about a time when you had a stressful situation and how you dealt with it", etc. The interview seemed more like a 15 minute conversation. I don't think any of you should stress out about it, you'll do fine!!
