Good Morning and welcome!
I fell asleep real early last night so I'm up at 5:00AM. It's still cold but in the low 40's and not the 30's like yesterday.
Yesterday I had some head congestion and a headache. This was a couple of days after a covid exposure at work and I know the Omicron symptoms are mild so I did a home test before going see best friend and it was negative. Not my time yet.
Stars, that's sad about your husband. It's hard being stuck and hard watching someone you care about suffer like that. But you're right that you have to turn it over.
BC, that's a lot of snow! Glad you kept your power.
Dianah, it's nice to have a getaway to look forward to isn't it? Hope you had a good weekend.
Since I'm up, I might potter about and go to work to do some overdue education and see if our W2's are ready to print and think about doing my taxes. My taxes are relatively easy to do.
Enjoyed a nice lunch and visit with best friend. He made some real good vegan chili and we rented "The Last Duel" that came out last year with Matt Damon. Very excellent movie.
Hope you guys have a nice day!

Tweety glad that you're negative for Covid
Dianah we were supposed to practice last Wed but the director's car broke down. We're going to try again this Wed
BC I'm trying a crock pot tomato mushroom ragout that I have made before
Stars that's really all you can do, is just let go. It's good at least that he's cutting back on smoking
Yesterday went fairly well. Church was early as we had the annual meeting afterwards. Lasted about an hour, not much discussion except the budget. Significant deficit is expected and we have to resort to contingency funds to fill the gap. The treasurer says if we don't get this fixed in the next 3 years we could be in trouble. Since one of our issues is declining membership I'm going to propose setting up an evangelism committee to help draw in new members. Once the capital campaign is done I should hopefully have time for that
Rest of the day was fairly quiet. J's stomach was acting up again, we had talked about getting together for lunch yesterday but weren't able to do that. Exercised and worked on the shopping list for this week
Hoping for a normal week at work. Hopefully this will be the week that one of the new people takes over for the person who left and that will mean less work for me. Though with someone else leaving at the end of this week that will mean more work again for a while
Will get up to the 30s today and 40s tomorrow. Snow expected tomorrow night and Wed night, could be heavy, hopefully it doesn't interfere with grocery shopping and choir practice

Good morning in our new digs!
We had a really nice lunch with bassist and friend J (fiddler was under the weather and stayed home ? ), then J came over and we gabbed ("nattered") and played songs and played songs for about three hours! Then it was time for me to do evening chores so I could get to bed at a decent hour (work the next day) and she had a drive back to the high desert. So we waved good-by around 9:30.
Trouble is, it's so uplifting to do music, I had trouble getting to sleep. Took something around 1230... and it was hard to wake up this morning. Oh well, this too shall pass... the music and stories were sure fun!
Have a good day!

Good morning. I’ve been up since 0 dark thirty. I gave my sis a ride to the hospital for her heart procedures. She’s getting ablations, a flutter and a fib, and a possible pacemaker. She wasn’t able to schedule a second opinion before her procedures and she feels so bad she just wants to get it over with. I’m sitting in a diner sipping coffee until it’s light enough to go for a run. Then I guess I’ll just sit in my car and read until they call with an update. Tweety, it sounds like you had an enjoyable day yesterday. My employer still mails out W-2s, but I plan to do ours as soon as it comes. Joe, I suspect a lot of churches are struggling. Can I ask how big is your congregation? I hope your snow is light.
Wow, BCGrad, that snowfall is amazing. I’ve heard stories that people couldn’t see out of their windows. Snow blowers are handy when it dumps like that. Dianah, sounds like you had a lovely time. I hope work is kind to you. Hugs to you Stars. I can’t imagine what you are going through. Know that you can always come here to vent.
Ah, the sky in lightening, so imma gonna slurp down my cupos Joe and hit the trail. ?♀️

Welcome back to the yellow side! I haven't been to blue in quite some time... guess I waited too long ?
I recently left a long-time job, and have since moved on to a new job. All sorts of new things to see and learn! Had a rather exciting day with a patient population I haven't really had much interaction with in the past- emergency responses, surgery getting cancelled after the patient was asleep, and a transplant! (Never saw those where I was before, just the organ procurement side of things)

Oh well. I'm here. Am supp to have echo & holter for Wed then cardology appt on Friday to discuss results. Don't want to continue Eliquis. Am thinking the iffy weather may interfere with my transportation arrangements. Other logistical issues making the appts diff.

Hello @Tweety, @Joe NightingMale, @dianah, @nursej22, @Rose_Queen, and @amoLucia.
Hope ya'll like the new place. ?
Don't know about my other compadres, but I feel exposed here. Like NOT wanting to openly share too much. JMHO
It's just different here. ? Not in a bad way. Just different.
I was unexpectedly in the Stress Lab today, and we were busy all day. I did errands after work. We just finished a late-ish (for us) dinner (leftovers), and watched an episode of Father Brown.
Dh's friend C stopped by today and they visited and dh took him to the Mediterranean restaurant for lunch. Dh reports he LOVED the falafels!! Dh sent some home with him. Sounds like they had a good time.
Our friend J who was here jamming yesterday (award-winning guitarist and a gospel song writer, who is not even 25), lives in Lake Havasu area, and we had a nice chat about what to do and see in the area. We have never been there before, and we got the low-down on what's what! She has offered to drive us to various places, if we want (we will be parked with the RV, and we will not have another vehicle with us). She is so fun and fun to play with, and very nice to offer to take us around! We haven't yet decided if we even want to leave the campground yet, for that's where all the jamming happens! We'll likely decide more towards the time we drive out.
And yes, Tweety, it IS good to look forward to trips, however near or far, short or long! We discussed going to another festival in May, in Parkfield. E and J have been there other times, and recommend it. Another one to put our thinking caps on for...
Well, have a good evening, on this Daily Diary Yellow Side Inauguration Day!

Doesn't feel different to me. I long moved my political discussions over here so it's nice to visit only one AN site now.
I like that it's easy to find. On the other side no one knew the brand new daily threads existed except us. Unlike Amo, I feel I can carry on just the same.

Yes, you are right, @Tweety. ?
