Missed check in due to hectic work day, immediately emailed my case manger through affinity and BON website, of course it was after 6pm, she emailed me back the next morning stating that I was selected and I missed the check in, and now my license is suspended for 2 years with the LPN board, has anyone had any experience with the board reconsidering? i also tested the next day at a drug site via my employer to show compliance, Btw this is in Louisiana.

Automatically yanking your license for two years over this seems rather harsh and threatening. I get that a missed check in on a selection date is a bad thing but proceeding immediately to a test, puking out the additional money (because that is what it is ultimately about, at least that’s my opinion) and notifying the case manager should be enough evidence to prove that it was simply an unfortunate oversite and you are a human being. Oh wait....no one is allowed to make a mistake or be human.....
I never had this happen (the OCD came in handy here) but to my knowledge, a missed check in just got you a nasty gram from the case manager and if you were unlucky enough to have gotten picked that day, you probably got another bogus ‘evaluation’ also known as basically a $1000 fine, or whatever BS they could pull out of thier *****.

Yes, she did it, currently asked for her supervisor to review my file, the supervisor emailed me and said she will review and have an answer by the end of next week:(, I find it rather harsh and cruel. This happened Tuesday, Friday I was sent a certified letter, stating my license has been suspended for 2 years, due to missed check in with selection
That so sux. Was this a first time occurrence or has it happened before?

Yes, I’m so angry! I have been on this stupid program for 9 years, due to the fact nobody wanted to hire me, had to end up taking a refresher course in 2018 to get relicensed because I had been out of practice for longer than 4 years, finally gained employment 10 months into contract, this happens.. I just pray and hope the supervisor overrides it
Cripes! I am so sorry. My states program stole nearly 6 years of my life and all I did was ask for help. I will never stop being shocked at the ways these things come up with to ruin people and separate them from thier money and thier livelihood.

God this is obscene even by the Uber-low standards of these programs. I’m sorry. Honestly I’d find another way to make money and move on with my life. I know that’s easier said then done but is this nonsense really worth it?

Just wow! If this is the first time you missed, fight this tooth and nail. At this point, you really have nothing left to lose. I am praying the supervisor has a heart and shows you some mercy.
I am, they said I should hear something by the end of the week, per the supervisor. So I’m guessing they may reconsider, all though it’s already suspended
