I really cannot answer your question, but just wanna share my experience regarding my initial registration application with NMBWA.

I applied with the NMBWA with 6 mos hospital volunteer and 1 year clinic nurse experience. The Board confirmed receipt of my application July 16th thru email. I received my assessment letter dated July 23rd, informing me to take the Registration Bridging Course, last Aug. 1!!! That was fast!!! They sent an assessment letter a week after they received my application!!!

I received my eligibility letter to take a bridging course from NMBWA. The thing is the course providers have work experience requirements for their applicants so there I have to fill in the needed length of practice before actually getting in the bridging program. Can they consider me even if I don't have enough work experience?

in victoria, the Nurses board of Victoria will approved your application even if you havent got experience...however, there are some instituions wherein you caan do the bridging program who requires at least 1 year of experience...the cost of bridging program in victoria will cost you AUD$ 10,000 minimum depends on which provider you want to enrol.

Hello, I would like to ask about these migrant bridging program, I will tell you my situation. I am from Perú, South America and have my professional degree of nursing, I finish my career there. Unfortunally I don't have working expirience. I live in Western Australia now, I have the working visa 457, because of my husband, who is peruvian as well, so I want to work here, I ask to Consultancy Migration services about this and they told that I have to take the IELTS test, (which I will take in one month) and after that take this program for 3 months and then make all the parperwork to validate my professional degree. I searched about these skills assessment and I found that I have to be registerd as a nurse and then have these skills assessment. What I'm concern about is the the cost of this program, they told me is about 12,000 UAD, is that true? because I'm very worried about these.

Yes, you need to pass your IELTS test at 7,in all subtests in one sitting, apply to AHPRA and most likely will have to do a bridging program before being registered,that costs around 10,000 to 16,000 au dollars, after completion you will be registered as a nurse with AHPRA. The places that offer this course are mainly in Victoria and take 8 weeks to 3 months. I think there is only one place in WA - IHNA. - think you need experience though of at least a year. Or you join a Bachelor of Nursing degree at a university that you do not need experience and graduate with an Australian nursing degree, which also will cost.

Hi! I'm a nurse from the Philippines and I'm interested in doing the bridging program in Australia. I have my IELTS already and 3 years of hospital work experience this july. I'm currently completing the requirements needed for the assessment in AHPRA. But I'm not sure if I'm getting everything I need.
