Microbiology

Hi! Question for nursing students...

Was A&P ll a prerequisite for microbiology at your school? It is at mine and all my friends in nursing have said they took micro and A&P concurrently. Just curious if my school is the norm or not.

Thanks!

At my school, A&P2 is a prereq for Micro, but I petitioned the dean of natural sciences and they let me take them together.

I took A&P 2 and micro at the same time.

At my college Bio 101 is a prereq to A&P and micro. It was possible to take A&P and micro together, but highly discouraged :)

I took micro and A&P II together, and that how it is for most of the community colleges I know. General bio 1 is a pre-req.

IMO it's unnecessary to have A&P prior to micro. They're very different and don't have much to do with each other.

Only A and P 1 was required before micro.

No, just AP1.

I took A&P II with micro. Got an A in A&P and a B in micro. Barely a B, but still a B. I needed the A in A&P so I focused on that.

No, its recommended and not required. I took A+P II and micro together, had no issues. I agree with PP, micro is a whole other subject, if anything I would have liked to take micro before A+P I.
