Medgar Evers nursing program 2015

Good afternoon to all. I applied to medgar evers AAS program January 2015, which I then received my test date within the 3rd week of February. I then received a response for the interview at the end of the 3rd week in April with the interview date set for the first weekend in May. I still haven't received a response regarding their overall decision for the program. Any current student who has gone through this process preferably in 2014 can shed some insight on when I can expect a response will be greatly appreciated thanks in advance. 😊

Thank you for mentioning this because I don't want anyone who is reading this thread to get discouraged. The interviewer stressed the fact they take multiple things into account before making a final decision. So we all have a great chance of being accepted.

It doesn't matter what school you attend just remember to put your best effort into it. It's hard work and tiring but it will payoff. Good luck :)

Knowing this is the lowest scoring group it makes me wonder if the gpa or the individual section scores for the nln become that more important? If so, could this be the reason it is taking so long for you to get a response because they are waiting for spring 2015 grades so they can have a cumulative gpa for each individual to base their decision upon. :nailbiting:

Spring 2015 grades were to be put in no later than last Tuesday. But when it comes to the over all group performance, I don't know if the student who is in the nursing program told me this group was the lowest because that is what she was told, or because she knew people who scored below 100 who were granted interviews. Regardless I feel all who were granted has a good shot.

My a&p 2 grades have yet to be posted. This is the longest I've ever waited for a grade.

A class member told me miss celie (not sure if correct spelling) told him. I'm surprised they even shared that info.

But I'm crossing my fingers for all of us!

I think you should contact your professor. I believe the only reason my professor made sure she put the grades in by the deadline was because not only were there multiple fall 2015 applicants, but there were 7 nursing students within my class. I also stressed to her that I needed my grade to make sure my GPA would not drop and that I am waiting for a response from the nursing department. Regardless I still feel we all have a good chance.

I just called the bio department and they say there's been an extension on grades. They said we should receive a score by Monday the latest. So I'm wondering if that means the nursing letters will be mailed out later now.

I will call again tomorrow, but when I called yesterday the secretary told me letters would go out today. I am sure that if they needed to see your grade they can inquire about it somehow.

Hello everyone, I just called the nursing departmemt and they said the letters where sent out today. Best of luck to you all and lets keep each other posted.

Thanks for the update. ☺☺☺

So basically we should all have an answer by next week. Best of luck and positive energy  :D
