Looking for confidence boosters!!!

Anyone have any ideas on how to raise my confidence level when going into the NCLEX for a 3rd time? I am trying to work on positive self talk right now but having a hard time with it. I am going to be posting a sign on my mirror that says "I can and will pass" and I have posted on the main screen of my cell phone "I will pass". Any other suggestions? I will take all the help I can get...this is one of my weaknesses. Thank you!! :redpinkhe :)

Keep saying it and you'll believe it best of luck

just picture your name with Rn, and say to yourself that failing is not an option and will never be!!!

dont ever underestimate yourself... trust and pray to God.. he works in mysterious way..:D

The Clinical Nurse Specialist at my facility failed NCLEX twice before passing. She is an amazingly smart woman. She provided excellent bedside care of her patients while she continued her education.

Think of this test as though you have never tested before. You attended a nursing school and passed which is no easy thing. Then say to yourself, " This is only a test, I can do this ". You can do this! ((( HUGS ))):wshgrt:

Good Luck!

Relax on the day of your exam. You cannot think clearly if you are anxious. :smokin:

I just passed the NCLEX 2wks ago after taking it 3x. So, I know how you feel. But, you must first have confidence in yourself and believe that you can pass the boards. On my third time around, I was more confident in myself and did as you have done by writing on a index card I CAN AND WILL PASS THE NCLEX! which I put on my mirror and read each day. So, pray and trust God, and Believe in yourself. You can do it! Good Luck!!!!

Do your practice questions and every time you complete a practice test and score greater than 80% tell yourself "OK I can do this" Think of all you have been though and survived already. School was tough and you made it through, Nclex 1st time was tough but now you know what to expect.

I am a firm beliver in positive self though, I would almost chant myself to sleep thinking "75-75-75" I would visualize getting to the 75th question hitting submit and the screen turning blue~~~then as a back up plan I would visualize the 76th question pop up and I would tell my self "OK your one of the lucky ones that HAS to take all 265"

Know that millions of people would kill to be in your shoes right now, think of how many people could not even get in, yet alone get through nursing school, your one of the lucky ones.

Your one test away from becoming an RN. How important is that....you can and will do it.

Best of luck!!!

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has responded to my post!! I am working on raising my confidence and knowing that I CAN pass this test! Everytime I feel myself thinking negatively, I stop myself and work on positive thinking instead. Thank you all very much...I really do appreciate it! I am on my way to becoming an RN! WOO!

Believe in yourself..you've done all you can do to prepare..try not to be 2 anxious..it's easier said than done. but just believe and take the exam don't let the exam take you...good luck

Melinurse: nice reply..it is true that there are great nurses out there n it took them a couple times as well so we can't be 2 hard on ourselves but we are our own worst enemy and we need to learn that we only can do the best that we can

JLnurse4 Life: what was the difference between this time and the other times u didn't pass? i took it a couple times and getting ready for the this time and hopefully the last time.. i just finished the saunders book the one suzanne recommended n about to start her plan

You can do it just keep the faith!! It's always easier said than done but you can really do it!! God wouldn't bring you to it if he couldn't get you through it!!! It's a true test for your life as well of how determined you are!!! I will be praying for you!!!
