If BUN IS 71 creatinine is 2.7 in a client with DKA what should I do?
Rehydrate? Dialysis? Fluid restriction? Bladder catheterization?

An Internet forum is most definitely not the place to research your patient care options. What do your P&P's say?
What does the MD say? (because you've notified the MD, right?)
Oh wait! This is home work? Then my question is: what do YOU think should be done?

Those numbers sound ideal. The patient should be discharged.

Are you an advanced practitioner with privileges to order those interventions? What are your thoughts on how the patient should be treated?

Is this homework? Is there any more information, such as other labs, VS, assessment? What do you think is this patient's primary problem?
What do you think this patient needs first? Or, can you justify any of these interventions based on what you know about this patient?
I am not a student but still can learn. This point sailed right over my head. Seriously? Homework questions now ask which order-requiring implementation you would choose?
Think about that. If you had orders for these 4 medical interventions, wouldn't you be obligated to implement all 4? Within the scope of your nursing judgment, of course.
Wouldn't that be where nursing judgment comes into play? The way the OP worded it made it sound like she/he would just go ahead with one of those options (What should I do)- where's the provider in the scenario?

The patient is dehydrated so there is no reason to restrict fluids
A creatinine of 2.7 does not indicate dialysis.

You can not intervene with out a physician order. Evaluate the patient's baseline values and clinical presentation. Report to the provider and follow their orders.
