What's the average LOS for a bilateral total knee replacement these days?

I just discharged someone today with Bil TKR's after 3 days. Only one of our Surgeons do the Bil TKR's and most of his are out by day 4

most of our total knees will stay 2-3 nights. if they are done on a monday they should be on their way home by wednesday. this all depends on pain management and passing physical therapy.

same here

Out total knees and hips length of stay is generally 3 days on our ortho floor. That means if they have their surgery on Monday they are ready to go by Thursday, regardless if it is single or bilatteral. We have a few surgeons who do the bilatteral, mostly at the patient's choosing because they cannot take that much time off work, or don't want the lengthy rehab choices. We have had a good deal of patients leaving on the 2nd day lately, but they are usually the younger patients.

All of our joint replacement patients are generally discharged on POD 3.

Most of our patients are discharge after 2-3 days unless they have other concerns in going home. Especially if they are not safe in going home.

ours are discharged in 3 days.

yuppers, out on day 3. everyone is diff, you know the course that is laid out is tested at times. but- i know that is the goal and our plan.
