Kaplan test prep worked for me

I passed on my 1st try.

I took the Kaplan nclex class and did 90 % of the question bank questions that they have online. I also watched a lot of the lecture videos. i mostly watched the ones from the top 3 subject matter on the nclex (which you can get from the pearsonvue website, like physiological adaptation etc...) or i watched the videos on subjects that i was iffy on. i followed along with the book during the class and the online lectures that you can access after the class is over.

I ONLY used Kaplan and i passed the first time i took the nclex, i think i had 130 questions but i didn't see because it shuts you off abruptly.

I also feel i remembered a lot from school, like stuff on TPN or meds or whatever we studied in 4th semester etc etc. AND i was going through a divorce so if I can do it, so can you!

sweetie, i am not allowed to say what was on my exam, BUT they TELL u that you have to know math problems, and what they tell you, IS on the exam :) but kaplan went over simple math THATS ALL YA NEED. the typical stuff like, dr wants this much and she weighs this much in lbs. so YOU have to know how to do lbs to kilograms, lbs is 2.2 times more, so u DIVIDE the lbs by 2.2 and know the other typical stuff from kaplan, like the med comes like this much per bottle or whatever, but you give this much. etc. simple division. feel free to type out a problem if u need help, i will help!

I'm using Kaplan now and find the videos very helpful. I'm planning on taking the exam in the next 4-5 weeks even though I haven't set an official date yet because I haven't received my ATT. How did you study everyday? I'm doing about 50 questions per day now. I don't want to feel overwhelmed and if I do more than that I feel like my brain is about to crazy. I don't want to go back through my saunders book to look at all the content, so do you think the Kaplan content review videos would be enough? Especially for the areas that I'm having problems with? How do you know how much of the Qbank you have done? For some reason I can't find that. I've done two the first one I got 57% and the second one 65%. Any advice would let TONS!! Thanks!
