kaplan q trainers

I am planning on taking nclex next week, but my q trainer scores are below the 65% that kaplan recommends...its so frustrating because I have been studying and keep getting around a 58-60% on trainers 1-4.

I don't know what to do. Any recommendations? Should I postpone the test?

my scores are the same...??!! and i'm scheduled soon too.....i am scoring 55-60 on the trainers and 45-55 on the q bank. i hope i can get those scores up in the next week!

The Kaplan questions are MUCH harder than the actual NCLEX exam from my experience. If you are scoring 60 or close too, I think you will be fine. I found all the Kaplan Lecture videos to be very helpful too for a quick and thorough review. Good luck and relax when you take the test, think through each questions and take your time.

I also watched the videos while following along in the book in the areas that I am weak in and I saw a huge improvement in my scores

I took the kaplan complete online... and I got a 69 on the readiness test and an average of about 67 on all of the questions trainers.. except for one of the 265 ones i got a 69 also. But honestly after having taken the NCLEX I don't feel as if those tests are an exact indicator of how you will do -- I felt like I failed and I find out tommorow for sure... even though the PVT gives me the pop up. You will recieve a lot of medications questions more in comparsion to the number that you get on the question trainers and a ton of priorization (so you just need to know those rules), delegation, and SATA which is knowledge based. Having taken it I would not postpone the test take it and I am sure you will do fine.

at this point i dont know if i still wanna watch the videos because im 5 days away from the test but your advice relieved me.. maybe i should see the OB video since thats my weakness. Is it true that first-time takers have a 88% chance of passing if they take the test within 6 months of graduation?

consider watching it. they helped in my areas of weakness.

CAN SOMEONE HELP ME :)

HEPATITIS ABCD ARE STANDARD PRECAUTIONS ACCORDING TO KAPLAN AND SAUNDERS.

USE GLOVES AND GOWN IF DEALING WITH FECAL-ORAL STUFF... LIKE WIPING POOP, GIVING ADLS, ETC

FOR HEP BCD, IF HANDLING BLOOD PRODUCTS, WEAR GLOVES, AND GOWN TOO.. so on the test, it's standard not contact right?

It may be too late to answer this, but yes, Hepatitis is Standard precautions.
