  2. im taking the test in a few days and i just want clarification regarding VFIB. if you come across that question... the nurse looks at the monitor and sees VFIB, what would u do FIRST? defibrillate do CPR assess for presence of pulses check VS call MD
  3. CAN SOMEONE HELP ME :) HEPATITIS ABCD ARE STANDARD PRECAUTIONS ACCORDING TO KAPLAN AND SAUNDERS. USE GLOVES AND GOWN IF DEALING WITH FECAL-ORAL STUFF... LIKE WIPING POOP, GIVING ADLS, ETC FOR HEP BCD, IF HANDLING BLOOD PRODUCTS, WEAR GLOVES, AND GOWN TOO.. so on the test, it's standard not contact right?
  4. at this point i dont know if i still wanna watch the videos because im 5 days away from the test but your advice relieved me.. maybe i should see the OB video since thats my weakness. Is it true that first-time takers have a 88% chance of passing if they take the test within 6 months of graduation?
  5. thanks a lot!!! congratulations to you 08sunlover, im sure you did just fine. thanks for the tip.. i just hope my computer shuts off at 75. whew* taking it this week.. finishe doing test trainer 5 and 6. got a 69 and 68%. Finished Qbank today and my average is just barely passing 66% but at this point, i've kinda stopped studying too much.. i just focused on the important points i need to know and i'm preparing to do testtrainer 7 today. PRAYERS DO WORK :) i will do that. thanks!!
  6. i have been really anxious lately... i don't know if it's because i only prepared for 3 weeks but i'm stressing because i havent been getting the kaplan scores im aiming for. Everytime i answer qbank test, i feel stupid. My qbank average is a 66% and my scores range from 50-81. Lately ive been getting 50s and it scared me to death. My test trainer scores for 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 are 79-68-60-67-65 but my qbank stats indicate that my management of care and physiology are only 63%. I know kaplan's passing is 65%. Should I retest? Or is one week enough for me to study? How do i get over my test taking anxiety? and can someone give me tips on how to do well on infection control? (aside from the mnemonic codes that i find really useful ) thanks =) btw, this site is so helpful :) it feels so good to hear from newly licensed RNs that take their time to share how their experience was and how they stopped at 75 thinking they soooo failed only to find out they passed. :)
  7. I just took the NCLEX two days ago and stopped at 85. the questions were so damn hard. I felt like dying after the test.. It was nerve-wracking. I got 13-15 select all that apply, a lot of med surge and about 13-16 pharm questions asking about different stuff. A lot on PEDS, only had 4 math questions. did i pass? I was an A-student who went to a private school in east LA. I studied my butt off for 3 months :heartbeatand used different strategies from kaplan Qbank, mosby's and saunder's. But why do i feel like i failed coz i had too many select all that apply questions? HELP!!!!! Scared Sara:bluecry1::bluecry1:
