True...it just makes me nervous. I like counseling and educating patients, along with health education in general. I love working one on one, and even thought about a Masters in OT....or Social Work...still have yet to figure out the best route.

I am still deciding which Masters program will best the best fit for me. I as far as PMHNP, my main concern is prescribing medication...yikes!! Now that you mention it, safety is also a concern. Any thoughts/advice?

Hello...did you graduate with your BSN? Did you return for your Masters in OT? I would love to know! I find myself interested in OT , but I have not decided which Masters I should get...OT, CNL, LMHC...??? Happy Nurse Week!!!! Im a nursing student in PR, but when I done the school I need to moving to FL (I live in FL before, 3 years ago) because my little brother had a accident and now he is cuadraplejic and my mom is really sick, thats one of the reason I wanna be a Nurse. But my concern is... I really like Occupational Therapy and everything about Rehabilitation Therapy. Do you know if I can combined my BSN with a master degree in Occupational Therapy? Or any other master degree similar to rehab therapy relate to nursing? I really appreciated your time, attention and any advise right now. Also Im looking for a house in Fl, can ypu tell me a good city, I dont like miami sorry but Miami is not what I looking for right now beacuse I need to think in my family needs. To all the UCinn Psych NP students....how is the program? Does it seem that after going through your clinicals, prescriptions/med management is the main focus for the Psych NP role? I would love to know more...Thank you!

Hello, I have read several threads re the CNL programs and I am still unsure if this is the right role for me..any advice would be appreciated. I am looking at several masters programs, both nursing and non nursing. I love patient rehabilitation and education. I love working one on one with patients educating and counseling them and empowering them to improve their own lives. I do not wish to teach other nurses, I do not wish to manage/supervise other nurses. I do not wish to be an NP. I know that the CNS programs are few and far between. Masters in public health seems too general....? Masters in community health nursing? Masters as CNL? Masters in Education? Masters in OT? Masters in counseling?Any thoughts???

I would love to know what everyone decided on...RN, BSN, MSN, OT, MSW???

i have not seen many CNS in psych programs...i would want to focus more on counseling. is that possible as a psych NP in massachusetts?
