I took the NCLEX yesterday with 265 questions. Im pretty sure I did not pass. I did the pearson vue register trick and it took me to the credit card page. I did all of the kaplan, but did not feel prepared for SATA questions. I was getting around 60% on all of the question trainers, and did all of the Qbank. Should I purchase the Hurst online review? Please help!

I took the Hurst Live Review and I don't think it did me any favors. It wasn't a bad review, it just wasn't right for me. A few of my classmates loved the Hurst Review and I think it just depends on the person and learning style. The Kaplan book was more my style and I wish I would have went to a live review with them but I didn't want to travel.
I am all for purchasing things that may help (I purchased 3 pharmacology apps, a number of books to include Kaplan/Saunders/Lacharity, the online RN Quiz program, and took the Hurst Live Review). You never really know how YOU will like it until you try it out.
Good luck!
Ok thanks for your advice. I might check out the Hurst since I've done everything on Kaplan. Would you recommend anything for the SATA questions?

Saunders has a SATA CD, I've heard good things about it on this site.

I took hurst live review. The book you get with that review is the ONLY guide I used to study for nclex (and the hurst practice tests - "Q review"). I passed in 75.
I was getting 60-70% on the Q review tests for hurst.
Best of luck to you!

I'm actually going over my hurst book now. I take my exam next Friday. I actually feel better at practicing tons of questions and going over content I'm not fully sure about.

SATA questions are content related and knowledge based. I don't care what Kaplan says about their true / false strategy. It's either you know it or you don't. However, if it were me I would not jump at another review course, just improve on what you already used with Kaplan, just my opinion, I'm yet to take NCLEX. Don't they have a guarantee? Did you utilize their all their content reviews? I'm using learning extension from NCSBN and Delmar Review from nsna together both cost less than kaplan, in addition to textbooks for study.

I've heard many people say that the Lacharity priority and delegation book is pretty good, you may want to check that out.

Hurst is good for brushing up on fundamentals. Kaplan is about the baseline Nclex level for the questions I had. NCBSNs questions are hard. About the level of the harder questions on Nclex if not harder lol. I wouldnt limit yourself to 1, Try them all. Best of luck to you!

i used kaplan only for the qbanks, trainers, readiness, and sample test 1 and 2..... kaplan is great for questions for sure... i would make sure you focus on the remediation when you are done with the tests
i also used hurst and thought it was great for content review.. i would definitely use hurst if you feel like you need to go over content... the practice test they have are good too and the rationales are decent .. while i was taking my nclex i swear i could hear their accents as would answer the questions in my head lol
i thought nclex3500 was GREAT for alternate format questions which my test was at least 50% of.....
btw i actually thought that kaplan was great for priority questions which i also had a lot of :)
