Just a quick one about a knee

My patient this week for clinic is in for surgery on her knee. I'm drawing a blank on something. Her surgery is Replace broken poly L knee. What does poly stand for? I know it's a material of some sort from when she had her knee replaced. I feel like an idiot not remembering the name of it but I'm drawing a blank. TIA

It's the tibial insert, the white piece in this picture (labeled as 'fixed bearing' here) that fits between the metal components in a knee replacement:
