Job Offers

I'm being super impatient, I know, but I just had a phone interview with the nurse manager of a unit and she told me she would go ahead and reach out to HR and have them make an offer so that I'll have a job! It's been a little over an hour (impatient lol)... is this a call I should expect today or within a couple days orrrr? I'm just REALLY EXCITED!!

Won't happen today. HR typically does reference checks and other formalities prior to a formal offer. A couple of days would be on the faster end of things. At least in my experience.

Hopefully today ! If not tomorrow. In impatient too can excited for you !

I got an offer 3 hours after my interview. However, this company does a lot of the background check and licensure verification before they even let you interview so I didn't have to wait on HR to do all of that. If HR hasn't done all of that yet then it will take a day or two.

HR will take their own sweet time. I had an offer that took HR weeks to process, until they called with the offer.

how long would you say would be normal? like a week?

Depends on size of organization. After weeks, I called HR because I KNEW I aced the interview. Turns out my recruiter had to go on emergency leave and they were trying to catch up on all the candidates. I'm glad I called, I was offered the position.

It is very hard to be patient LOL!

Which hospital was this at? I applied to one of the ones you did and am getting anxious about having not heard anything back yet!

oh man, i couldn't imagine. this makes me even more anxious because the manager TOLD me i had the job and that HR just needs to contact me with the formal offer. so until they call i'll probably just assume the worst and think they forgot about me haha
