Ivy Tech - Fall 2012

Thought I would start a thread to see how many people were applying to Ivy Tech's Fall 2012 nursing programs.

I will be applying to the Fort Wayne campus. Looking to see if they are any others out there who might be joining me.

Please feel free to post where you are applying, and then once those letter get mailed out at the end of May, let us know if you got in!

I was wondering....if you apply to both the ASN and PN, and didn't get in to the ASN but got into the PN would you get a denial for the RN and acceptance for the PN or would you just get the acceptance letter....or if you get into the ASN do they even bother sending out a letter for the PN. Just curious...I have sooo many scenarios running through my brain! lol

:yeah:Congrats!!!

Now if I could just get my mail lady to bring me MY letter :uhoh3:

Did you apply to Indy? I spoke with the nursing office yesterday. She said if you do not receive your letter by Friday to give them a call on Monday. Monday is a holiday, so I'd call Tuesday if you didn't receive anything.

Good luck!

I applied to both ASN and PN at Indy. I have only received an acceptance to the PN. I've heard that Indy doesnt send out alternate letters and that they pull from the PN for any open spots. This is second hand info so not sure what is actually the case.

*sigh* no letters in the mailbox from B-town, or Sellersburg. waiting, waiting, waiting....

I applied for the LPN to RN transition program at the Indy campus, too, and haven't heard from them yet. My understanding is that we won't get our letters until the second week of June. I don't know what my total score was, but had a 90 on TEAS. Hope we find out soon...good luck! :)

Got my acceptance letter from Kokomo campus today!! So excited!

I applied to Evansville campus. A girl I work with told me today she got her letter Saturday :( So now I really don't know what to think.

And there is nothing in the mailbox today.

I see that more and more campuses have mailed out letters. Just wish mine would get on the bandwagon and get theirs mailed out already!

i emailed them today and was told it would be may 30 at the earliest that the letters for the transition would be mailed out. have any idea how many spots they have?

i'm waiting on b-town and sellersburg as well! fingers are crossed for the accelerated program at sellersburg, so i can finish a semester quicker.....

goodluck to you!

So I called campus again...and I'm not sure what to think. The girl I work with said she got her letter Saturday (mind you, I didn't ask what it said..just figured if she was excited and talking about it; it was good news). The woman told me today that letters have NOT gone out. I explained to her because my co worker had received a letter I was beginning to worry that maybe I missed something on my app. She then told me that some letters had went out...but they were not acceptance letters (and she left it at that). should I think that maybe they sent out denial letters first? and I haven't gotten one..which is good, right??!!

UGGGHHHHH this is driving me crazy!!!

I applied to the Indy campus ASN and LPN programs. My total score was 166. I got accepted to the LPN program (got my letter around Monday 05-21) and am turning the spot down. My heart is set on the ASN program. I had a B in psych from years ago and am kicking myself that I didn't retake it... For those of you who are wondering, I contacted the school yesterday regarding alternates. After the ASN candidates get their letters, if any spots open up, alternates are picked from the next available highest scores of the ASN pool. Same applies from the LPN pool. From the vibe I am getting, the ASN scores that were accepted were in the 170's and above. I am sure that it will be a while for the alternate spots to open up as everyone has a few weeks to accept or decline as orientation is mid June. JFYI everyone, hope this helps!
