Is it possible to be accepted without the prerequisite

Published

Hi I was told I was taking the right prerequisite for nursing but they meant LPN.I want to be an RN but I took all C level courses.I thought I heard somewhere that C level course can be equivalent to U if you get high enough marks.I got at least 80 in all my classes. Is that possible because I want to go straight into the RN program

it depends 100% on your school

As in what school I apply to?Because everywhere I've read about needs U level prerequisite

I have not heard of a program that accepts students that have not fulfilled all the requirements set out, including the specific prereqs.

However, I'm going to assume you are not in the U.S., so it might be different where you live. You could always contact some of the programs you are most interested in and ask.

I think this is a question for your academic adviser and/or the admissions advisers of the programs you wish to apply for.

If you have no medical experience I would highly suggest that you get all of your prerequsites out of the way BEFORE beginning your RN program ....I was an LPN for 15 years , challenged a couple of years in the RN program that I was in due to my LPN experience ....The RN program was difficult even for me with my LPN experience AND all of my prerequsites out of the way , those students without any medical background , taking their prerequsites along with their RN courses had a very difficult time....

Hi there! I'm in the same boat. LVN hoping to join an RN program. Were you able to challenge some RN semesters due to LVN experience? And was it a CC or private school program?
