Hello everyone!
I'm very excited to be here. Let me tell you a little about myself. I married to a wonderful man, we have two great boys ages 17 and 9. Now I'm ready to go back to school to become a RN BSN. I am better at achieving shot term goals first so I want to become a LPN then go on from there.
At first I was a little fearful because I'm in my early 40's and thought I was a little to late. So, just to get my feet wet I'm in the process of completing a triple combo program. I'll earn my certificates for nursing assistant, home health care aid, and patient care tech. Which is only 4 ½ months. I really like the program! After completing this program I would like to attend Toledo School of Practical Nursing or Professional Skills Institute in Ohio. . Has anyone here attended or attend one of these schools? If so what are your likes/dislikes. How soon after starting classes will the clinicals start? What is the cost of the programs? Any and all information is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Good luck to you. Moving to Ohio forum, so you can hone in on the locals there that might have attended that school.

What is the reason you have to relocate to go to LPN school? You can take your preqs here perhaps, also. if you go here to a community college, the same amount of time you wait for your LPN license, you can finish the RN classes and sit for the test, so it is better to get the RN.. Toledo School of Nursing has been around a long time, and used to put out great nurses, don't know how it is now. There are LPN schools in the City colleges in the Chicago city, also. That is a big move, and unless you are already going to be moving there, ie family, husband's job, I would do more research, I am from there and live in Chicago 20 years. ps, my mother's name is Vera, so I hope u make a wise choice.
