I have no work experience what so ever... what do i write under work experience?

You have had no jobs at all ever? no McDonalds or babysitting? I have a hard time believing that. Think about the positions of responsibility you have had and spin the good points.

McDs: Customer Service, accounting, efficient work, working as part of a team.

Babysitting: Responsible for safety and care of a child, time management, customer service, flexible and safety minded.

If you truely have had no employment, what do you do with your time??? Clubs, sports, volunteering? Yes, you can include all that.... if anything, in a Hobby section on the bottom. They look at that!

If I were you I would go apply for, and do, a CNA job, quickly. Sure you can get a CNA job without a resume. I get LPN jobs without a resume (they still only require an application, even though I bring along my resume). And even if you only work one shift a week or are on call for Friday and Saturday nights, that would make a good first health care entry for your resume. Good luck.

As a brand new grad I listed my work study position (it was at the college biology lab) and where I did my clinicals.

I would list as much of your school clinicals as possible. Any awards you have received? There are formats for skills-based resumes rather than chronological online.

As mentioned above, have you ever done ANY jobs? Babysitting, working for your parents? I am sure if you get creative you will be able to figure out something. Good luck!

List anything pertinent then, like the clinical experiences that you've had. And one more quick thing, if your state is like most, you don't have a CNA LICENSE. Don't put on your resume that you do if in fact you don't!

If you are already a registered nurse and never worked as a CNA but held a license, I wouldn't put it on your resume. Did you work part-time in high school ANYWHERE? If not, I'd leave that section out entirely. List all of your clinical sites with the dates. You should make a "Skills" section and list as many as you can think of. Be prepared to give explanations on how you have these skills and when you have used them. Everyone can write that they are multitaskers and have great time management skills but if you can't explain HOW then you shouldn't put it on your resume.

Work experience goes beyond the hospital. ANY work history is sufficient.. because whether you worked in a retail store or elsewhere, each position requires some sort of initiative, customer service, teamwork, organizational/prioritization skills etc--so cater your past work history to the nursing profession, even though it may not relate directly.. all jobs enhance positive working skills

further more, if you don't have any work history... just expand on your clinical experience.....HIGHLIGHT accomplishments during those rotations. have you ever been in a code situation, what did you do...? have you ever presented an inservice for nurses? for things that you did, as well as things that you went above and beyond. mention it! this is your time to describe and emphasize your work ethic and critical thinking skills-
