I can't wait until...

... now fill in the blank.

.... I can wear scrubs and comfy shoes to work instead of panty hose and heels. UGH!

I can't wait unitl...

I start nursing school (ya I know it's everyone's response)

I have another baby (I like doing everything at once!)

This weekend (I am on vacation and we are going to Busch Gardens!)

. . . until I *am* a pre-nursing student (starting my pre-req's next semester)

. . . until I get to see a real book store again!

...I can read a book and not have to take notes on it!

I used to love reading for fun, but ever since I started school the thought of reading a book (even one I might actually like) almost makes me sick. I do so much reading I don't have time for fun books

I'm there with ya! Can't wait to quit my office job, until I can wear scrubs and comfy shoes as opposed to dressing up with heels...and until I can call myself a nursing student. And after that, I can't wait to call myself a NURSE! :D

Good luck to everyone!

Just curious, Stacygirl, where in Texas are you at? I'm in San Antonio.

I'm in the Fort Worth area - about 3 hours from San Antonio. My little brother lives out there.

I am so with you there!! I LOVE reading Stephen King books but havent been able to pick one up in years. Instead I'm reading text books every spare moment I get. My daughter knows I love Stephen King and whenever she sees one somewhere that I dont have she wants to buy it for me - I tell he dont bother right now, I wont be able to read it for a few more years.

Until I transition into the LPN program in early '09. I am currently in a Med. Asst. program (long story) and due to great grades I have been given the opportunity to change Programs (Thank God).

I can't wait to be an Obstetrics Nurse. I know I have been driving everyone in my family crazy, but they don't understand that I am finally getting the chance to do what I've always wanted to do.

Great thread. . . Thank you!!!!

...I receive that letter that says, "Congratulations! You have been admitted..."

...I buy my very first set of scrubs and shoes.

...I put on my stethoscope on for the very first time.

...I get into an ICU unit of my dreams.

;)

I second all the post on this thread. But especially the on from ProudRN2B. I need to have kids soon biological clock is ticking. I want to start my last year of the program I applied for. Hope to get in. Wish me luck! I also agree I want to say i'm a nursing student instead of a pre-nursing student. Arrrrrgh waiting to hear from one of these schools. I hate waiting, but as they say patience is a virtue.

I can't wait.........

To finally see a dream through to the end.

To be able to wear the nurse charm on my bracelet.

To be able to do something that actually matters.

To tell the boss that gave me attitude yesterday I quit!!!!!!

To put my late grandmother's stethoscope around my neck and tell her I'm finally listening to you!!!! (umm hopefully they let me wear them in ns).

Short term

I cant wait to be done taking 2 science classes at once!!!

Ohh I just love this thread. I'll be back with more. :yeah:

I can't wait until...

I'm done with pre-reqs.

I'm accepted into the nursing program next Fall.

College isn't my life anymore.

i can't wait until:

I get an ACCEPTANCE letter:yeah:

2 OFFICILLY start nursing school

"Patience is a Virtue":redbeathe

I can't wait until...

I get my letter in (whether it says "congratulations" or not, I just want to know...although I'd prefer that it does in fact start with "congrats":D)!

I can say I'm in nursing school, rather than starting every sentence with "Well, hopefully when I get IN to nursing school..."

I don't have to sit behind a computer for 8 hours and then sit in class for another 4...

I get to buy my first nursey outfit! Comfy scrubs here I come!!!

All the stress of not knowing if I'm going to be accepted is GONE!!!

I get to start real nursing classes.

I get to say "I'm a nurse" with pride!

I get to see what it feels like when a dream you've had for so long comes true.:heartbeat

I CAN'T WAIT TO BE A NURSE!!!!!!!!!
