I passed!

PCCN hopefuls, here is what I used to study:

* Pass CCRN! book with CD

* David Woodruff's PCCN Success Program

* AACN's PCCN SAE

* CCRN podcasts by Cammy-House Francher (found these for free on iTunes, excellent review!)

After reviewing material, I did a bunch of practice questions. I did recall seeing a handful of questions from the Pass CCRN! CD/David Woodruff's book/AACN PCCN SAE on my PCCN exam, as well as a couple of questions that were very similar to practice questions I had in the past.

I know the CCRN and PCCN exams are different, but in my opinion, once I started doing well on the CCRN practice exams, I figured I would do just as well if not better on the PCCN exam since the CCRN is a harder exam.

Make sure you are very comfortable with interpreting ABGs and also know which leads correspond to which areas of the heart. Also know which coronary artery feeds which part of the heart (for example, the RCA supplies blood to the inferior surface of the heart as well as the right side. If you have ST-segment elevation in the inferior leads [iI, III & aVF] make sure you do a right-sided EKG and pay attention to lead V4R).
