I hate writing papers.

I'd like to ____________ (insert something not nice here) to the person who came up with APA format.

:bugeyes: I haven't written a *real* research style paper since 2000 when I was in beginning english classes at college. I was too busy (I've been looking for a reason to use that one). Now I'm too busy :yawn:

I have 450-550 words to go in this paper. Yech.

WOW...I'm going through the exact same thing at this very moment..lol. I too LOATHE writing any research papers or any papers for that matter. APA is also horrible. I have a paper that is due by midnight tonight and I'm still putting the "finishing" touches on it. I just want to be done with it and here I am on this website :icon_roll lol. I just wanted to say I feel your pain and you are not alone! :uhoh3::bugeyes:

I've been out of nursing school for 12 years, yet my stomach still clenches itself into a knot at the mere mention of APA format.

I've always loved writing essays, but in college I quickly learned to despise the formality of scholarly writing, along with the laborious documenting of sources. That, plus statistics and organic chemistry, is why I never went for my BSN. I feel for y'all, I truly do!

Mine says "Midnight Sunday" which I am taking as midnight tomorrow. I have at least 24 hours to finish this sucker. LOL Heck, if I don't get the common courtesy of getting my grades or finding out my assignments on time, I will be ok being a few hours late on this. It will be on time (unless I am wrong about when it is due), but man, it chaps my butt. That's a whole 'nother vent, but I won't go into it here.

I hate APA too, so I use APA Perrla software, runs in MS word, and it does it all for me. It cost about 25.00 and it has saved me that in time looking everything up. I haven't had any teacher say anything about my references except great job.

LOL...I might be :D. I just finished mine and sent it off...what will be will be. Unfortunately I have another paper due at the end of the semester and I'm dreading that one just as much. Why do they do this to us???:uhoh3: APA is the worst thing ever invented...lol. Who ever came up with it must have been awfully bored and didn't realize us nursing students have much better ways to spend our time then jumping through hoops to make sure we cited correctly and have our running head just right....:lol2: Anyways good luck with your paper....once it's done you will feel that weight lifted off your shoulder :bowingpur

I've never heard of this...I wish I would've known about it, because I definitely would have invested in it. But now with only one paper left...I don't know if it's worth the money for me. Great tip hopefully it will help a lot of others out there. Good to know there is something like this available. :yeah:

Yep, I know how y'all feel, I have a 12-14 page paper due April 15 (half of it is due on March 10th) :uhoh21:. It is in APA format also. I guess I probably should get started on it...

LOL-that sounds like me! I didn't start working on it til yesterday (mainly because I had a test on Friday I was busy studying for).
