I am so excited. I had planned to go to a "Brick and Mortar" school near me...but something about Frontier kept calling to me...I am just drawn to that place. Anyway, I got my email today telling me that I am in for Class 61, which starts in June. I wrote back and asked if I could defer a couple of quarters (my daughter is having some health issues right now--hopefully nothing serious). Do any current Frontier students know if I can defer?
So, if I can defer, I plan to attend Frontier Bound in November. Very excited. I was accepted to the traditional CNEP program. Yeah! Anyone else planning to attend in November??

Congratulations! That is so exciting! I am sorry about your daughter I hope she is well soon.
I have not completely decided when I want to start. I am thinking of applying for Bound that starts in September, December, or March'ish. I do not see a Frontier Bound that starts in November just a Clinical Bound. Did you mean December? Anyway I wish you the best and maybe our paths will cross. Again, Congratulations!
Yes, I guess it must be December that I am thinking of--winter. If you decide to go then, we will get to meet! I am excited and will be ready for the challenges ahead!
Thanks for the wishes on my daughter. She is doing better and I expect her to be fine...thanks!

Congrats ladies!!!! I am in the process of applying too. Did any of you have to do a portfolio? I have a BS in biology and an adn. I just need to jump in with both feet with this thing but it seem so daunting right now...

No, fortunately I didn't have to do the portfolio--I have a BSN. The portfolio does look a bit daunting...I have a friend who is working on it now. Good luck and hang in there!!

Congrats!
I'm in my first term at Frontier right now and I'm loving it.
Oh, and a friend of mine was accepted and then deferred for one term. They were very cooperative about it.
Good Luck!!

hello! I got into Frontier too. I was going to start in June, but they didn't tell me I was accepted until June 3rd, so I was able to defer until December. It works out better for me right now anyway. I can't decide if I want to be a CNM or FNP when I grow up. Maybe I will start with FNP and finish as a CNM. I do not have L&D experience yet..only tele...but I became a RN because I have always wanted to be a CNM. I think I will be cheating myself if I don't become a CNM....:redbeathe
Congratulations!
I just got home from Frontier Bound this weekend. It was a very good experience; the school really does have a sense of purpose and its mission is to change health care in this country for the better. I am even more determined to do whatever it takes to be successful and make it through to the end! You will, too!
