Well, the long wait is over. After a year and a half on the waiting list, I'm finally officially accepted for August 2005!
I accepted my seat today...RN March 2007!
I'm so happy I could cry.

Broward Community College, in South Florida.
Thanks for the good wishes.
I've had to resist the urge not to tell everyone I see. Not just people I know, but people at the grocery store, at the mall, parents I've never seen before at my kids' school, telemarketers who call.
I think you all are the only ones who truly understand, unlike the people I told of my decision and they said, "Um, are you sure? You know you're going to have to clean up poop and stuff?"
Thanks again.

Thanks for sharing your joy! :balloons: People outside of nursing only remember the bedpans and clean up after patients. But you can tell them about how satisfying it will be to care for patients, the flexible hours, the job security, travel options, and wide spectrum of careers within the nursing profession! Be your own public relations announcement to let people know the benefits of nursing! Educate a few people little by little! Again, congrats!
