I think you need to take a break from the nclex. Look into Mrs.Suzanne4 plan. Then have a positive attitude. You can do it you made it through nursing school. I was a 3.5 student in college and I failed my nclex RN 2x's before I passed but thank God I didn't give up or I wouldn't be an RN today. You can do it and yes sometimes we do tend to over analyze the situation and the nclex questions are based on a perfect world meaning you have everything you need access to.

First, you are NOT alone. I just repeated the exam on 12/30 and waiting for my results. I wondered the EXACT same thing as you. Take a deep breath, pick you head up and realize that the exam MUST be passed regardless, to proceed with your career. One thing you know, is that if you don't continue to take it, you will obviously not get your necessary license. You are responding appropriately, with respect to failing, nobody wants to fail. Remember, the plan is much BIGGER than you, its all in God's hand. YOU WILL PASS IT AT SOME POINT! Did you take the Rn or Pn exam? How many questions did you have, what type, and how long did it take you to complete the exam?

don't lose hope..relax for a few days...then try again

i failed twice and still going for the third, try suzanne's plan, i heard its good..

just keep trying... God bless

I am wondering if you are a foreign born student. I've known a lot of exceptionally intelligent ESL people who had a tougher time on the NCLEX. Statistically, I believe this holds true.

However, whatever challenge or obstacle in your path, it can be surmounted. Guaranteed, if you keep at it, you will pass the NCLEX!

So suck it up and move forward into your destiny as a professional nurse!

The NCLEX is a straaaaaaaange exam. I went to school in Canada, so i can't coment on how you were prepared for this test. I felt i overstudied. I've been working in psychiatry for the past 9 years so i needed to refresh. I passed my first time after 180 questions. I don't think anymore studying would have stopped me at 85. I remember thinking I failed after writing it, and my blood pressure was out of this world.

I felt like i was being tested on making common sense decisions, unit organization, safety issues, and priortization++++, and delegation.

Concentrate on identifying priorization type questions(find a book that does that. Lippincott wasn't so great for this) , ABG's , Common Lab values, remember your AIRWAY-BREATHING -CIRCULATION in your priortizing questions when in doubt.

When you are thinking that your reading too much into a question, then stop. Chose the best response based on the information that they give you in the question.

Don't be so hard on yourself. you will have another opportunity to write. Just a bit of advice.... Don't tell your everyojne when you will be writing the second time.. It can sometimes eleviate unnecessary pressure. I think you should concentrate on yourself, and not on what everyone else thinks.

good luck

By the grammatical errors in your posts it appears as though you have difficulty with the English language which can indeed pose a problem in passing the NCLEX.

I've lived for many years and have received all of my education in NYC. There is no shortage of foreign born people here, in fact I am myself! So please don't try to cast me as maligning immigrants.

Take a break and consider Suzanne's Plan. I work with quite a few nurses who failed boards one or more times. Each of them are excellent nurses and are smart. Don't give up and keep up a positive attitude. Best wishes. You can do this. The test is one that is very hard to predict. Good luck.

Actually, if you look at the international forums you'll see that "myth" spoken as truth. Truthfully, I don't see the other poster judging you at all....
