I have my CPNE date!

October 8-10th I will be in Syracuse NY to take my CPNE! :)

That was SUPER fast!

My FCCA should be here with the UPS man anytime now today too.

SweetharLPN, how did you get a date so fast? Did you complete the CPNE application packet as soon as you were done with your last Nusing Theory Exam? I am trying to find tricks to get the process done as quickly as possible. I thought you jad to have you FCCA graded before you sent in the CPNE application.

I finished my last nursing exam August 11th.

The next day my status was updated, and by Friday I had and was able to apply for the CPNE.

I also called and scheduled my FCCA, which they said I would have today (it's not here yet, and I am about to call UPS)

They emailed me last night and said they had a date of October 8-10th available, did I want it, I emailed back with a yes, and got a confirmation that my date was scheduled today.

All in about a week's time. They are REALLY on the ball right now.

NPAC is the way to go if you want to get a quick date.

Thank you for your relpy. If you don't mind, I wonder if I might be able to ask you questions about the process as you go through it. I am taking LS2 tomorrow and LS3 next Friday and would love to have a "mentor" to ask questions to regarding the process. I live in Idaho and all the CPNE scares gives me the heebie jeebies as does the whole process. COngrats to you on getting a date!

DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT whatever you do get the CD. It is such a waste of money and the woman's voice on it is like nails on a chalkboard. It is completely useless and pointless.

They do nothing but read off the flashcards.

I plan to get my mneumonics down, record them, and then put them on my iPhone and listen to them as I drive back and forth to work every day.

Shuddering over the wasted $15.

I also wanted to add this. Make sure you are home when the FCCA comes. The ONE DAY that UPS comes in the morning and you must sign for it, so now I have to haul butt across town at 8 PM tonight (after being up since 3AM!!) to go pick it up, so just wanted to give that heads up.

I have to disagree regarding the CD. I listen to it while commuting to work, when I'm falling asleep, and anytime I want to devote focus to the CPNE but can't look at cards. I think students should probably judge it for themselves. Congrats on the date !
