Hypnotic Micro...?

Ok, I had a brainstorm!!!

I have a vocabulary builder cd set. You listen to the cds and learn just like any other course. However, there are 2 additional subliminal cds. You play the cd and five different voices take turns naming off words..."juxtaposed, acrimonious, pinnacle, fecund...blah...blah..blah"

You are to listen to these while relaxed and just let yourself go into trance, not really caring what is said. Strange...I find myself wanting to send $$$$ to the publishing company j/k

My idea...

I could play MicroBio related material while I sleep! Does anyone know of a website with audio micro? I could always read my notes into a computer microphone and play the file on continuous play while I sleep!!!

I hope your subliminal CD idea works well for you, and are safe to use.

Well, I happen to be a hypnotist. The deeper the trance, the more effective it will be. Though it is possible to reach a deep trance state with these CD's, you will most likely reach a very low trance, if one at all. CD's like therse are VERY weak. If you looking for micro retention, a hypnotist can help give you photographic memory. Don't send them money. I do sessions for free. Most hypnotist will try to rip you off. Never pay more than 50 bucks for a session, which will only take one. Have them teach you self hypnosis for reinforcement.

OK

I figured it out...so simple.

I purchased a digital voice recorder with pc capabilities from compusa ~$60. I'll record the lecture upload it to the pc, convert to mp3 and email it to myself. Then at work, i'll open my email download the file and listen at my work computer.

Perhaps i'll listen to it while I sleep too. Hopefully I won't form a negative anchor where I associate my teacher's voice with sleep :selfbonk:

I recorded myself reading my notes using a computer program. I then burned them on a CD & listened to the CD everytime I got in my truck (to and from class, etc.)

I actually thought about listening to it in my sleep, but never did.....and never had to go to such measures. :)

Good luck!

audiolearn.com had a 2 CD set for medical micro!! Havent listened to them yet- will be taking micro this summer

The CD Case says. "Listen to a detailed description of over 120 medically significant bacteria, viruses, and fungi including their classifications, defense mechanisms, pathogenesis, and antibiotic therapies."

It was about $30.00 and I have not played it yet but will begin to tomorrow in my car commuting about town.

I did this with my medical terminology class and got great grades!! I used to play it when I was falling asleep & sleeping (on repeat) and doing housework.

Just think about how many crappy songs you know the words to even though you hate the song and you will know it will work!

As proof- I moved mid-semester and went 2 chapters in med term without the tapes (couldnt find in the darned boxes!) and I got lousy grades compared to my straight A's.

Interesting. I wouldn't mind giving it a try (desperately need to) but am of scarce monetary resorces.

Good luck to everyone!
