How much do you make as a tech?

Let's compare hourly pay. Please state you city:

St. Louis, MO: $12.75 (plus differential for weekend/might)

Featured Replies

Boca Raton, Florida: $13.40/hour (day shift only)

If I were to work a night shift they would increase my hourly rate by $1.25 (I think! It may be $1.50, I'm not sure)

*My hospital offers a choice for full-time PCTs: You can start at a lower pay with full benefits, or a higher pay with NO benefits whatsoever. It's kind of a rip off I think..

To start with NO experience, it's $10.00 with benefits, or $13.00 with NO benefits. I chose the higher pay without benefits option... I had no previous hospital experience, but I had 2 years of home health experience so they agreed to start me at $13.40/hour with NO benefits, full time. For the area I live in, it's actually really decent. I make more than the other PCT's I know. Anywhere else here a PCT starts around $11-$12, but I don't know if there are benefits included with those salaries.

I live in Las Vegas right now and make about 16,50 a hour working night shift but I am moving to Kentucky next year and want to know what the pay is there?

Tampa General Hospital you start at $10.98 for day shift..St. Joseph offers way more I heard.

Columbus OH

$11 and change with a shift diff for anything between 1500-0700 and a weekend diff around $2.

In a Central Florida area hospital

approx. $9-10 for unlicensed PCA

approx. $10-12 for CNA

approx. $1 differential for weekends

approx. $2 differential for nights

$9/hr according to a new cna. She just works one night/wk for the experience while in school & makes more at her other job at a grocery store.

Unbelievable pay for how hard we work our butts off.

$25.07 plus $2.25 for evening shifts (I'm straight eves) and $2.75 for the weekends (after 1500 on Friday until 0700 on Monday). If it's a night, it's an extra $5.00/hour. I'm in Canada.

In my neck of the woods, PCAs in acute care with no prior experience start out at $11/hr, and if you work the float pool, then it's $16/hr. No differential for working days (7a-7p) and shift diff kicks in at 7p with an extra 1.25 on the hour. Weekends 2.80

Lindsay_B I am in the springfield MA area and make 14.98 as an evening shift ED tech
