Just wondering how A&P1 went for everyone. I have a final grade of 91-A. I did not end up taking the final. Since I already had an A, I chose not to take it next week and just focus on my upcoming courses and also review my weakness for this course so that I can be strong in AP2 and not spend the week cramming. I have no idea how people usually do in this course or how my class mates did (or are doing) since I did it online.
I guess I am just wondering if it was good enough? I have heard that your A and P classes can be a predictor of how you handle nursing school info and I am wondering how NS will go for me. I know the expectations are high for A&P classes so I am wondering did I get a GOOD grade or an ok grade, relative to the expectations for these courses? To be honest, I know that I could have done better so maybe that is why I am wondering if it was good enough.

Im taking it this fall, Ive heard mixed things. But a 91 and A is awesome, you should be thrilled. I know people who got As and said it wasn't hard just a great deal of studying and memorizing - very time consuming. Then, Ive heard from people that its terribly hard and near impossible.

I bombed my last micro practical and final so it brought my A to a C. I was devastated. So now, the pressure is on for me to get an A in A & P. I keep hearing it's not that bad. I sure hope everyone is right....
It wasn't that bad but I slacked of a bit on the last three chapters. I was worn out after the skeletal and muscle exams that I didn't fully read the last three chapters and didn't take notes on them. Taking notes as I read is what really helps me remember. I still did ok on the quizzes but I went from a 96 at midterm to a 91 in the end. I guess I am feeling a little guilty not doing the final too. Almost like I chickened out of it. It could have brought my grade a point or two but I guess it didn't really seem worth it at the time, since the professor said an A is an A, and really that is all I cared about through the who course.
To be truthful, Micro scares me! I'm sorry about your final.

My school seperates a and p into two seperate classes. one anatomy and one physiology. i took my anatomy this summer and it was HORRIBLE!!!! The professor had gone to medical school and is use to teaching pre-med students who have had lots of science classes before taking Anatomy and it was bad. He was mad at the school because they had fired him from one of his positions a couple years ago but asked him back and he took revenge out on us. I busted my butt and did good enough that I don't think I will have to retake it, but it was bad...
Micro isn't that bad, and I had zero background in science. The last science I took was in 9th grade...9 years ago. I took the 8 week version of micro and held strong until the last week. Because it was in 8 weeks, the final was the day after my lab practical. My brain just couldn't do it. That's why I bombed. I'm confident A&P is going to go better...it has to.

Ditto. It also helps if you have a good professor. I have heard horror stories from other students about the bad professors they had.

I just finished up A&P I a few days ago. I ended up with a 92.67, which for my school is an A-. I'm a little upset, because if I'd gotten 93, I would have that A. Owell I guess, I will deal with my A-. My class was a six-week long summer class. It was intense, but also a lot of fun. I really enjoyed the dissections and the cadaver lab. We also took a "field trip" to the Bodies exhibit. That was really awesome. :) Now I'm going to enjoy my two weeks off until I start fall semester.

I'm going to be taking this course in the first semester of sophomore year. I've heard that this class is fundamental to nursing students so I'm really excited for it. Another year until I take it (I'm a freshmen xD).

As of yesterday, I'm officially done with my sciences. Out of the three: Micro, A&P1, and A&P2, I think A&P1 was the hardest!!!! Just my opinion though :)
