It is a good idea; However, it may be ver hard to find a job in one.

not to be mean but people might answer you if you quit talking like "THiS" it's really annoying

Afraid I have to agree with kbm318. Using CAPS with a small i in every word makes me wonder if I am replying to a 7th grader or gang member. Try using the rules your 2nd grade teacher gave you. Capitalize the first letter of the first word of your sentence and use caps on pronouns and titles.

Working as a CNA or volunteering in the hospital where you want to work may help your chances. Working in the kitchen of a hospital makes you pretty invisible to someone involved in hiring or recommending a new nurse.

If your college doesn't already require a technical writing class, take one anyway.

Moderator's friendly reminder: Please keep to the topic at hand (the pros and cons of working in a hospital food department while obtaining a BSN) and avoid off-topic remarks about capitalization and grammar. Thank you.

It may be of some limited help if the hospital has priority job postings for existing employees. Some do, some don't.

Beyond that, however, I can't see it being of any benefit at all. You're not likely to make any meaningful contacts.

You'd be much better off trying to secure a position that would bring you in contact with the clinical staff (CNA, unit clerk, etc... even housekeeping).
