Holidays ????

Hey Folks !! Enjoying MLK day. I know we are all used to working holidays and sometimes it can really suck. Which Holiday do you have to have off or and why. For me it is New Year's eve and a few days after since it is my Birthday.

Some people don't mind and I'm wondering how does that work with the rest of the family???

I have Christmas off one year and work New Years and the next year I switch. The rest just follow the regular schedule.

I haven't had to do so for many years, but when I was in a direct clinical job - working holidays - my hubs created our own tradition. He would show up mid-shift (kids in tow) with goodies for me to share with my co-workers. Sometime with other 'holiday' accouterments such as tiny Easter baskets with candy, Valentine cupcakes, etc.... just one of the reasons I miss him every day.
