Try doing a search on this topic on this board. We talked about the same subject fairly recently.

My school requires a HESI exit exam before you can graduate but we also take at least one per semester to prepare us. We had 1 our first semester and we take two at the end of our second - psych and med-surg. Third semester is 2 or 3 HESIs and 3 for our fourth semester.

The questions are all NCLEX style questions but they are specific to the class we are taking the HESI in.

In my opinion there is no real way to study for the tests but you can practice by taking NCLEX questions.

Thank you for your reply, I tried to search but nothing is coming up. At my school we take the HESI in the last semester only and we are not able to graduate if we do not pass. From 53 students only 18 passed. It is sad but true. I am going to take the 4 version this time, so if you have any tips or where to find info please let me know

Do you have access to the Evolve website, the company behind the HESI exam. Our college gives us an access code so we can do our case studies, and we can do over a thousand practice questions. Also, you can do a practice HESI exam on there. I also downloaded thousands of questions from an Evolve CD that I borrowed from the college library. I'm gonnae try and do as much practice question as I can before I take the HESI exit exam in three weeks. My college has the 850 pass mark also. I think we do have 3 attempts to pass the test though.

Did you get a detailed report on the previous HESI to let you know what areas were the most challenging for you? That might give you some guidance on where to start studying.

Do NCLEX questions, lots and lots of NCLEX questions. Also HESI has a review book you can order from their site. HESI is a predictor of wether or not you will pass NCLEX, the reason schools use it as an exit exam is so that they can keep their accrediation, which requires 85% of their students pass NCLEX on the first try.

We took our HESI exit 2 weeks ago, I got a 925, average for our class was 907, most people jsut did NCLEX questions everyday from the first day of the semester until HESI day.

HESI and NCLEX is all about applying your knowledge, so you have to get comfortable with application type questions.

Does anyone has Hesi version nr 4, any tips or help?

See if your library at school has the Hesi practice book...Do lots of NCLEX style questions by forming a group and asking people to bring their own NCLEX book and throwing questions at each other... When you go to the evolve website and sign in with your user name and password, it will come up with the areas you did poorly on in your last hesi exam and give you review material in those areas (usually way more than you need, but every little bit helps). It is extremely possible to raise your score, so don't worry yourself into test anxiety!

I practiced 100 to 200 NCLEX questions a week out of Saunders book throughout school, this helped me do well on HESI and NCLEX.

I was wondering if anyone has the remediation packet for HESI version 4. PLEASE PLEASE help me, if I do not pass this time I can't graduate and that means that I worked hard for nothing.
