Umm ... study? :D No, seriously, I recommend the EC practice exams ... they're a wonderful learning tool.

I agree, You have to sit down and just study everything that is in the EC content guide. I have been successful at passing 3 exams by doing that. Buy the practice exams and study all the rationals. Anything else you find is gravy but rely on the EC contents. I wish I could tell you more but I'm planning on taking the same exam at the end of the month like yourself. Good Luck and happy studying.

hi i am doing the college network lpn to rn program has anyone had any experience with this any hints ? hope I didn't get scammed any info would be appreciated

Debi23,

How long ago did you sign up with the college network? Less than three days and you can exit your contract. Their materials are good, but you can get them used cheaper on EBAY. If past the 3 day limit, then let the contract with them motivate you to complete your degree.

College Network doesn't actually provide the degree ... it's usually Excelsior College, and you'll still have to pay Excelsior for enrollment, exams and fees, too. College Network materials are good, but not worth the hefty price tag, IMO.

Lunah - Please explain - the College Network, from what I understand, does pretty much what you could do on your own? What on earth are you paying for if you sign up? I applied to Excelsior directly and got all my books really cheap used online. For anybody looking for books, just remember that it's only in rare circumstances that you absolutely have to have, say 8th edition, as opposed to the 6th or 7th. In the case of the Monahan Med-Surg book, the only info for the first test is on bioterrorism,

so I got the book out of my library network. I'm hoping to never have to buy this particular book because it's expensive, but it does live in a nearby library. There are many ways to skin a cat, not that I'd want to.
