hi,
i've just graduated last march 2008 here in the Philippines and Im planning to take NCLEX. Do you have any idea about what US state would be the best NCLEX to take? I mean like what US state would be the fastest in terms of processing for NCLEX? Here in the Philippines I've heard that NCLEX Vermont is what most review center and egencies recomment since there is not much requirment needed and that it only takes about 4 months for your eligibility to arrive. Is is True?
Do you have any idea what review center (here in the Philippines) would be the best to sign up for preparation for NCLEX?
Which is better to take first, NCLEX or IELTS?
Lastly, do you know or can you recommend any good nursing agencies (here in the philippines) that deploy nurses in the US? Have you heard of HEalthline, HRCP and M3? Are they good agencies?
Sorry is i ask so many questions. Im really anxious since this Ive just graduated and really dont know what to do.. Please help..
Thank you very much in advance for your replies..

for the list of bon go to this site www.ncsbn.org and try to browse on it for some changes with regards to the licensure application of the state you wish to be license.
for the review center there is no such thing as best review center. passing the nclex depends on your foundation of nursing and determination. take nclex then ielts after which apply for visa screen if you both pass on it.
for the agencies i suggest you not worry about it at this point in time. one step at time. focus first on your nclex and the rest will follow.:loveya:

I think you need to sit down and do some reading before deciding on where to go. You will be affected by retrogression and looking at a few years before a visa will be available looking at current processing dates. Not sure where you are wanting to work but apart from California it would probably be better to apply to the state you want to live and meet their requirements for foreign trained nurse.
You are not applying for NCLEX but to be a licensed RN in the US of which NCLEX is part of that process
thank you for the reply. may i ask another question? Is it early for me to sign up with a recruitment agency or staffing agency at this poin? Since I am just planning to take the exams. There are agencies here in the Philippines that offer free reviews fir IELTS and NCLEX if you sign up with them. Is signing with this agencies as early as this be a disdvantage or an advantage on my part?
Personally I would do it on my own without an agency as really you do end up paying them for it and more. You would also have more control over where you end up. Going with an agency is not going to change or speed the process up. May even want to consider another country as currently with retrogression you are looking at a few years waiting

You sign with an agency that will pay for all of that and you have signed your life away to them. Bad idea, especially when it is a well known fact that you are going to be looking at five years plus for a chance at a green card to be able to work in the US.
As mentioned above, take the time to do some reading here, speed is not the best thing to be interested in, but how to do things correctly the first time so that not much time and money is wasted.
Best of luck to you.
