HELP! I don't know what to do?

If you know you want to be a doctor, spending time and money on nursing school is a very bad idea.

Think of that physiology class as being about as hard as most nursing classes, and that medical school is four times harder than that. Nursing school can be hard to get accepted into (unless you are going to go to Chamberlain or some other for profit $$$chool) and they will be concerned about the C in physiology. I would retake it. One word of advise is to record the class and listen to it later for studying purposes.

Anyways,

I didn't get accepted to any of the nursing schools that I applied to. I finished this semester with a C in Physiology but an A in everything else.

I want to see if I can retake Physiology for a better grade, but I'm thinking about going into med school instead. I want to become a Doctor in the end but nursing just served as a stepping stool.

Here are my questions:

1. Should I retake it for a better GPA, and what nursing schools (this upcoming Fall) allow you to be in progress/allow retakes for classes?

2. Do you suggest any medical schools, and do you think I can get in with all A's and one C?

2. If you're interested in medical school. maybe check out student doctor network. They have a "what are my chances" forum that might give you some idea of what you're up against.

1. You'd need to check with the individual schools for recommendations on how to improve your odds. And when you're looking for "a school that allows blah blah blah", it might help to give some indication of where in the world you happen to be.

All A's and one C in what? What kind of program are you enrolled in now? The requirements for medical school are nowhere near the same as the requirements for nursing school and you need a Bachelor's Degree before you can apply for medical school.

Honestly if you couldn't get into nursing school with your current grades, I wouldn't think you'd get into medical school with them. Medical schools are more competitive. And I agree with the poster who said going to nursing school as a step to medical school is a bad idea. Despite ER portraying more than once in the 90s that nurses need to go to medical school to advance in their careers, it's actually a very uncommon phenomenon to go from RN-MD.
