Hardest pre-reqs?

I was just wondering what all of you thought the hardest pre-reqs you took were. I am expecting Chemistry and Statistics to be the hardest for me! A & P and Microbiology shouldn't be that hard, I hear they're just a lot of memorization so that's not too bad. A lot of work but I don't mind.

Chemistry and believe it or not....Ethics were the toughest for me!!!!!!

A&P 1 and 2 and Microbiology were pretty tough also!

Ethics? Hmm... I don't have to take that. Is it like philosophy or something?

For me, it had to be Micro. I loved the class, loved the instructor and have the utmost respect for her, but she about kicked my booty!! I failed the first 4 tests and was ready to drop, but she encouraged me to continue and showed me how to study for her tests, and the next 2 I made a 97 and 93 in there. I ended the semester with an 87. It was the hardest class that I have ever taken, and the hardest tests I have ever taken, but I have been told that nursing school tests like that, so it may have been to my advantage!!!

Yikes! You failed the first 4 tests?!?! That would have been so overwhelming for me. But hey, you ended up with an 87... not bad! If I fail a single test I'm talking to my instructor immediately! Lol. I sure hope nursing school tests aren't too hard... but I've heard great things about the nursing school faculty at my university so I'm not too worried, lol.

thats a tough question, it really depends on the individual. Micro was very hard but I loved it so much and found it the closest so far to what I wanted to do it made it easy. Math was my first challange and Chemistry was very foreighn to me, however English which I took 20+ years ago is by far my worst subject and if I were to be made to take it over I would have to say it would be my hardest because I am so uninterested in it hehee.

Yes, it is a philosophy class. I think what made the class hard was the teacher and his book which he wrote....OMG, I am so glad its over with

I would have to say Chemistry and Statistics were both challenging. I got A's but I remember that I had to study hours every day and I did all the homework. Now one class that drove me bonkers was my anthropology class. It was a requirement but the teacher was so disorganized and never responded to emails. I ended up spending a lot of time on that class and I got an A but it cost some serious sanity. It was one of those classes where you had to guess what the teacher wanted you to write and all the answers were essay questions.

Microbiology for sure! I was very interested in the class, but it was so much work!

I don't have to take anthropology... thank goodness. Actually I don't have to take any history for that matter... I fulfilled my history requirements in high school. I'm also exempt from Freshmen English due to my verbal SAT score.:roll Yay! Lol.

was this at SAC?

was this at SAC?

YESSSSS ;) Were you in my class?

It's so interesting to read what required classes everyone has had to take depending on the college your going to. I sometimes think what a waste of time and what does certain classes have to do with nursing.

My hardest class right now seems to be Algebra, yuck! I'm managing to get through it, but I truly hate it. A&P no problem, will start chemisty in July, should be interesting, and in the fall it will be another load of classes. Micro, A&P II and of course another Math class.

Good Luck~
