Group One

How do you find out if you are on this list?

If you cannot get hired anywhere you are on the list

I'm sorry, but what is Group One?

Well, this is a weird, cryptic post.

I'm sorry, but what is Group One?

It's a "black list" for Texas nurses that anyone and everyone refers to before deciding to hire ...or not to hire.

I had not heard of anything like that. Is there something similar for every state?

Is it a real list, or is it apocryphal?

The BON's website?

I've only heard about it in Texas, but I don't have nursing experience in more than a couple of states.

Seems pretty real to me. If you search for "Group One Texas" you'll see all sorts of stories.

So, for those of you who are as in the dark as I was, Group One is a 3rd party HR company that handles hiring, background checks, etc, for various hospitals in the DFW area. Apparently the different hospitals that utilize this company can share employee data with each other.

Thanks for clearing that up!!

So does this mean if you were terminated at a facility that uses this service, you are now blacklisted? Even if the reasons for termination are BS?
