Dang it! I was hoping you lived in Covington!!! Where do you live?

I live in jonesboro

Hello all, new here. I got my flu shot at the health department next to GPC Decatur. I showed my student ID and got it for $15.

XOXOXOX.... Thanx blaquechinadoll!!!!

Just spoke w/Chris Moore in nursing admissions. Don't worry about flu shots now, will get info on where (possibly GPC) by the first day of class during orientation on the 26th. If you have already recieved your shot make sure it's not last years vaccine or you may have to get another shot.

blaquechinadoll...the flu shot you got at the healt dept...was that last year's flu shot, or this year's flu shot? The reason I am asking is because I just left my health dept on Tuesday (getting my TB & Chicken Pox titer) and they told me that this year's flu shots are not out yet and will not be out till early September. I sent Mrs. Creel an email earlier in the week to ask her what we need to do about that and she has not responded yet.

I don't want to get last year's flu shot, to satisfy this paper, and not be protected for this year. And I also dont want to get 2 different flu shots back-to-back, because there are always risks with these kind of shots.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

bearcat194...that is awesome news! (we must have been typing at the same time!)

I do not want to get two of those shots! Thx :)

Hey lov, Ms. Creel is out till the 23rd as is most everyone this time of year. For everyone else, Ms. Crawford was late getting her bootcamp info into the email we got earlier with the handbook & attachments. Look for it soon, or you could contact the lab mon-thrs 8:30-5 for info regarding bootcamp 678/891-3869

Hey bearcat :)

I am glad to hear that about the flu shots. So I guess we will find out at orientation. Now, I can finally get my physical and get that paper filled out (the flu shot was holding me up)!

Do you have the email w/attachment from adorable? If so, can you kindly send it to me?

[email protected]

Thanks a million!!

So should we send our medical forms without the flu shot info put in there? That was also the last thing holding me up...

I am not sure what flu shot I received. I will call health dept on Monday. I don't get flu shots bc I have never had the flu, so didn't know to ask. I sent medical form & my doc forgot to input the flu shot & mine got returned. I was just going to turn it in on orientation.

Make sure that you have changed your major from pre nursing to nursing in the enrollment office beginning Monday. This affects financial aid especially if you have already reached 53 attempted credit hours OR you have "maximum time frame" indicated in SIS, in academic progression. Has everyone registered for Nursing Boot Camp? The registration info is on a pamphlet emailed thru webmail on June 28.
