GPA of 2.7

I recently graduated with a BS in Health and Nutrition Science from Brooklyn College. I am looking into the accelerated nursing program at either Stony Brook or Adelphi. My overall pre requisites GPA is 3.1 except for Microbiology, which i got a D in.

What do you guys think? Do I have a chance of getting in?

No, based on their admissions requirements. If you haven't already done so, read their minimum requirements for admission to the programs. You can find them here: Stony Brook and Adelphi

Based on the minimum admission requirements you have zero chance because you don't meet the minimum requirements. Even if you had the minimum requirements, ABSN programs have very limited enrollment and the competition for those few slots would require a GPA closer to 3.5.

My school has a minimum of 3.0 to apply -- the average GPA of accepted applicants was 3.85 with an overall acceptance rate of 16%.

If you can, I would retake microbiology. I don't know of any program (ADN, BSN, etc) where you can get in and/or pass with a D or lower in micro.

No chance at those schools if minimum criteria is 3.0
