FSW Fall 2015

Florida Southwestern State College formerly Edison State College. I started thread for FSW but it is full with spring applicants. So I decided to start a new one for this upcoming fall.

Who is joining me next fall in nursing?

I plan to apply for Part-time or Lee full time. I have one more semester of pre-requisites. I am taking A&P 1, Micro, College Algebra and Nutrition. Kill me now. :arghh: lol A full time semester of craziness but almost done after that hopefully with pre-requisites with the exemption of A&P 2 and a humanities class.

I plan to take the Hesi in mid Feb or march and retake if needed at the end of April. Schedule has been posted and I plan to study a lot this winter break. So excited but so nervous.

I'm organizing my planner too! I really liked this video on youtube [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a5cXCzEtBxc] by iheartnursing. Her planner is very organized and she also shows you how to make your own stickers for it. I made a bunch of clinical stickers, test/quiz stickers... Each class is color coded so you don't have to write as much info.

Oh just of curiosity. I got an email saying about attire and I saw we need long socks to our calf. Are we required to have long socks?

Do we have to ?? I saw that too is it for lab or clinicals?

No idea Pockets, I dont own long socks so the first lab day I am wearing white socks.

I wasn't able to take the CPR class until the 8th. Hopefully it will be fine being a day late :/

Im sure it will be fine. You dont really need it until you start clinicals.

Maybe collier is behind, but I haven't received any syllabus yet. Where is everyone looking?Has anyone else going to collier campus received one?

HI Cjones003, I have not received anything.

I sent a conversation to Barbara Ward, MSN-Ed, RN,CCRN regarding this Attestation form folks have been talking about. (i didn't receive) I am unsure if Edna is still helping the Nursing Dept. So I have just used the conversation module in the NUC 1000 as instructed.

I asked if they will even look at Certified Profile for the medical records since no update.

Collier is really behind I believe. Hope to hear something tomorrow before i head to campus. The last time i went there there wasn't anyone there. But, I want to ask about all the things that we are missing, like Orientation and syllabus for each class. :wideyed:

Just curious, did everyone pay their tuition already?

There's still no orientation or place to upload our shot records right ?

There is still no orientation but last I heard, we SHOULD recieving sometime before Friday. We will see...

Oh, and they are working compliance tracker but for the meantime, I downloaded it under medical records.

I paid my tuition already because I am not using financial aid, so I figured I would just go ahead and pay for it. Hopefully I registered for everything properly and there aren't any issues...lol
