Stars I hope you sleep better tonight

NJ22 glad you're feeling better

Tweety glad you at least have an answer now, hope the steroids help

Work ended up being busier than expected, despite not getting any new cases.  Bunch of documents and emails and something urgent I needed to work on. But I got it all done never got too crazy, and by the end of the day things were quiet

After work went to the bar for happy hour with the gay group but no one was there. Not sure if it was cancelled or if I had the time wrong.  Probably the former as I couldn't find it on the web site.  Came home and did some cleaning and worked on my shopping list.  Had a variant of the usual anxiety dream last night, not sure why.  Most nights I can't even remember dreaming

Today looks pretty light at work, although I do have to work on the side project again. After work meeting church friends D and T along with the minister for dinner

Going to be very warm today, low 70s, though will rain most of the day

It is high noon, and I have things to do and places to go and people to see. Some of the things on my to-do list can't be ignored any longer. Blech!

Later, y'all------------

Hello all!  Not much to report here.  We are having horrendous winds -- yesterday and today.  They are kinda expected now and then -- the Santa Ana winds, from the north west.  Just really windy!!  Temps in the 70's.  Fingers crossed no fires start.

Our cumquat tree is FULL FULL FULL of fruit!  Need to pick it and give it away, we surely can't eat all that fruit!

No plans for this weekend.  Well, except for Daylight Savings Time.  Shew, I thought we'd have voted that OUT by now!!

Have a good afternoon and evening!

I choose to be knocked out for a colonoscopy, thanks. I had propofol with that last one and all was good except for breaking out in hives. But that has become a near-daily event (though milder than it was that day). BUT, Tweety, that sounds promising to have an explanation and treatment that should help. Ain't it the truth about not reading about the side effects of medications? ?

J22, I hope your cough clears up. That can be exhausting. I caught a cold somewhere and stayed home yesterday. Spent a great deal of time in bed and missed 2 of my favorite things -- choir practice and band practice. Hubs rolled his eyes at me this morning when I got ready to go to work, but I am OK and had things I wanted to get off my plate before the weekend. That included a call to an angry boyfriend-of-a-patient who is no less angry for me having talked to him.

Good evening!

Ado, hope you feel better.

Crazy busy day in med surg land.  We did 12 discharges and probably 9 admissions.  I'm tired.

I called and set up with the new GI doc I chose.  Apparently my ex-GI doc left a note for me to follow up in three months.  By then the first 90 days of the steroids will be done and we can make a determination if it has helped.  I'll choose to be hopeful.  My ex-GI though told me to text him in four weeks to let him know how I'm doing.  He'll be on vacation so not sure if I'll do that.   I know the hospital he's going to isn't going to be functional until April.

The organization saw I left a glowing review and wanted to me to make a testimonial so they could use it and maybe do a recording of me in their advertising and social media and I said no.  Not my thing.

Anyway, off for four days..

It has rained all day here. At one point, when the rain was lighter, I put the dogs' hoodies on them and took them for a walk. Normally, they hate to wear clothes and rain, but they seemed to tolerate both.

I spent most of the day sweeping, vacuuming, and dusting to catch up on stuff I've let slide since not feeling great. I was supposed to take MiL to her chiropractor appointment, but she is having a COPD flair and chose to stay home. I'm skeptical about chiropractic anyway, but I wonder about twice weekly treatments. but she says it helps her back, and she enjoys the ride, so I just nod and drive. She will be 89 in November, so she can do what she wants.

Tweety, I hope you can finally heal your gut. 12 in and 9 out is a lot.

Oh, yeah, I try to avoid reading about side effects, so that I don't talk myself into having them.
