I am right behind you, so all your info and experience is highly appreciated. I liked your posts about Chamberlain, so I have been talking to them about the Rn- Bsn program. When I pass my Cpne in June, I will register with Chamberlain. Please continue to post after you start to serve, because I am so interested in the Armed Forces. I meet with the Army recruiter first then the Air Force next. Your posts are highly valued.
Hooray!!! Lunah, you know how long this takes. I love your attitude. I got annoyed at a couple people on another thread who kept whining about how long it is and that they just don't trust the military. I went as nice as I could on them and said they may need to reevaluate their priorities. In my opinion, we have the honor to serve and it is frustrating but worth the wait. (I have like 40 some odd days left before I leave). I'm so excited for you too!!
Yeah, my recruiter was telling me today that I should be prepared to wait about a year from now before BOLC (or OBLC, or whatever acronym will be in fashion in March 2011 ), even though my packet would go to the board in October. I told her that was fine, I was already counting on that. She sounded relieved that I wasn't complaining about the timeframe. I know it's worth the wait!
Thanks, people! You rock. :)
Yep. Everything little thing is something! :) I need time to sell our house anyway, ha ha. It's such a great house ... too bad our area is full of foreclosures. Bleh.
I miss my house in Durham. I have these HUGE hydrangeas by my front porch - I MISS THEM...I miss my hardwood floors and my back deck and the trees along the river at the edge of my property...
Oh, man, did I mention how much I hate white wine on a night off? :) LOL....
Awesome:yeah: Good Luck and I know you will be joining the rest of us real soon!!!
I'm just curious at what you mean by joining the rest of us real soon? Are you talking about the Army and if so I would love to pick your brain. If not, I'm sorry for butting in!! I'm just excited about getting back in and a little obsessed about talking to people who are going through the same thing. So I apologize!!!

Just got off the phone with my fabulous recruiter, who called to tell me that part of my packet has gone forward to determine my rank, which will probably take a couple of weeks. We've also scheduled my physical at Walter Reed for June 9. Hello, tape measure! LOL. We discussed having all my paperwork in and packet ready by August to go forward in October. I know it'll be here before I know it!
She also said the selection process is much more competitive than in the past, but I am a strong candidate with my letters of recommendation, experience, and GPA. And I'm motivated -- I really want to do this! *fingers crossed*
