Question Of Salary
i moved here in ri from nc 2 yrs ago.i have more than 12 years nursing experience and base salary in rhode island hospital is almost $35.$2/hr night differential and $3.50/hr weekend differential.health insurance is affordable and really good.me and my kid had surgery.never paid anything.work opportunities as well as pay especially if you do an overtime(8 hrs over your scheduled 8 hrs is paid double) is super great.i love my job here.i am just not so happy with the weather(long winter).houses are also expensive.you need to have a minimum of $250,000 to get a decent house in a fairly good neighborhood(with good school system). maybe, you can't really get everything.goodluck,anyway...

How to recognize a Frequent Flyer
as you work longer in ED, you recognize who they are.they know the ins and outs better than you do if you're new.

What NCLEX study guide is similar to the questions on the test?
i used Saunders Q & A and NSNA.they helped me a lot in passing NCLEX.
-
Who else had 265?
i have a friend.she took the nclex with 265 questions and failed.2nd try,265 questions and passed.congratulations to you!

Would you recommend nursing to your daughter?
for me, i would recommend nursing.i was undecided on what to take before when i was to go to college.i love numbers but when my parents advised me to take nursing because of career opportunities, i followed them.they said if i won't like it,i could switch course anytime i want to.i had good friends when i was in college so i was encouraged to continue and just study until BSN is done.i would always say i am forever thankful to them because if not with nursing, i wouldn't be able to bring my family here in us(we are from asia) and we won't be able to provide a brighter future for our kids.talking about STABILITY and FUTURE.

Should I Stay Or Go
i believe you did the right thing.kids grow very fast and before you realize it,they don't need you no more compared to when they're young and all they wanted is to cling to you.take advantage of it.i am also a mom of 2 boys, 8 and 5.i work nights but i still get the chance to spend quality time with them.i just love it!

2nd time, didn't pass
it is ok.things happen in time.i was able to pass on my 2nd take but you know what is the secret, FOCUS!when i took it the first time,i knew about how to prioritize(ABC) when i was reviewing but it seemed like i got distracted when i was taking it already to the point wherein i got confused on which pt. to go to 1st.you also tried to convince them that you can make it because you have gone too far with the questions.there may just be an area that you need to focus on and correct.i have gone over 200 also and i knew my mistake was the prioritizing.during my 2nd take,i learned my lesson and didn't allow myself to be confused again.just ABC and it shut down to 75.i know you can make it because you have gone far.goodluck!
