I would like to know more about FGCU's Nursing program(BSN)?

what is the minimum score on the TEAS?

Can someone let me Know what there score was, that has been admitted to the Nursing Program?

Also, is anyone applying to FGCU for the FALL of 2010 program?

I just wan"t more information from the students side, thanks a bunch!:)

Where else are you applying? I really don't want to go the community college route with the RN-BSN bridge program...ugh. I will let you know, I should be getting my letter today.

I got in, I can't believe it.

well, congrats on getting in the program. I guess I'll try again for the spring and look into another school. well, let me know how the program is when you get started.

Hey,

For any of you out there on the alternate list...I got accepted and am not going to attend FGCU. Good luck to all... and even those who didn't get in yet...you will... just be patient ..if nursing is what you want to do you WILL get into a program.

Just curious, why did you decide not to attend FGCU? I am applying for the spring. I heard they lost accreditation some time ago. Did that influence you? I am also applying for fall UNF. I will be taking the TEAS for the first time this Saturday. Any last minute suggestions? Thanks

Hi 2BUSY4ME,

I decided to attend another program because it suits my needs better. I had no idea that they lost their accreditation either (so it didn't influence my decision)... As long as they have their accreditation now that is all that really matters. I don't really have any suggestions, except to find the program that is right for you. Good luck on the TEAS. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

Actually, to the credit of FGCU, they were on probation and pulled themselves out of it and have full accreditation now.

About the TEAS, my biggest concern is the science portion. I have done well in my classes and studies the ATI handbook, but the majority of messages indicate the test questions are nothing like the handbook. That worries me. I also have an application in for UNF and think I have a 40:60 chance for that acceptance. Love the school and their organized application process.

Any hints for the TEAS will be appreciated. 5 more days.

For my Teas test I just studied the book from ATI and did the practice tests. There is no way to anticipate every question, but if you have done well in your classes you should be fine. Good luck!!

Does anyone know how long before letters (ACCEPTANCE) are sent out for spring 2010? What was the timeline for fall? Apparently letters were received about April 1, what was the deadline for BSN applications in the fall? Waiting to get some good news. Best to all of you starting this fall, good luck.

they told me that letters with decisions are planned to be sent in mid-july.

well, good luck and hope this helps

Got my acceptence letter today for spring 2011!

I am pretty new to the site, however, I have a question. I recently sent in my application for the summer term at Darton State, in Albany, GA. I scored a 56 on the teas, however, my gpa is around a 3.0. Darton State states that you either have to meet the min of 60 on the teas, or have a gpa of 2.7. I was wondering if I wasted my time applying or do I have any hope of getting into the nursing program this summer.
