I am starting March term. From reading earlier posts, the theory portion of the program is 100% online; and, clinical portion is held in Florida. I intend on flying back and forth for clinical. I was told that the school provide you with the study materials that you will need in order to get through the program. I have already started studying pharmacology, drug calculation on my own time. I also took time off from work beginning the first week of May in preparation for my first clinical. I was told that the program goes by quickly, so for me I have been studying on my own so that I can jump into the program without any issues. My question is: Where will our clinical sites be located?

Congratulations on your acceptance...I didn't get accepted because of my gpa..I have one other class to yake and I will reapply next year.

I do not know what my points are, however, I am coming in with a degree, all of my pre-reqs done, I attended another nirsing program previously, and I passed the act..I am hoping that it is enough to qualify me for the nursing program in the fall.

I just got my scores back on the ACT residual..I made an 18.. I made enough to qualify. I just put my application for fall in today..I really have a good feeling about my chances on getting in..I hate that I will not be able to start in the summer with you all but I will be rooting from the sidelines. Let me know if you all got into gadsden state?

I took the residual with gadsden. They will be the only ones getting my scores. I didn't take the nationals with everyone else. The scores are only for gadsden state students. I was also told that the scores come back much quicker than it would if I had taking them nationally. I am just praying that I did well enough to qualify.

I took the ACT 2 weeks ago..I was told that the scores will available within 3 weeks..They will be available in time to apply for the April 1 deadline. I will be traveling there tomorrow for the info session. I was going to work tonight, but I change my mind. I will go back to work starting tomorrow night. I am just praying that I meet the minimum to apply. If I don't receive an email by the end of the week, I should receive by the end of next week.

I think I will attend one of the sessions before applying to the program...I am hoping to see the both of you this summer. I am still patiently waiting on my ACT scores to come back and with hesitation, I will be applying to both summer and fall.

I totally agree. Looking back, the teas was a whole lot easier than the ACT. I will be commuting to and from school, once accepted. For me the summer is going to be a bit hectic since I haven't taken Micro yet..I will be taking both nursing classes as well as microbiology during the summer. I am just on pins and needles waiting for my ACT scores. I am not worried about getting into the program. My thoughts about that is you either make or not. If I don't get in for summer, I will try again for fall. Are the requirements for Belville State the same as they are for Gadsden? I may apply there as well.

I am applying to albany tech, darton state, and several more schools in Alabama...I really want to go to gadsden because it is only an hour away from me. Albany tech and darton state will be my last choices... I didn't leave any blanks on the ACT...I also studied some two months before taking the actual exam I heard that gadsden accepts a lot of nursing students compared to Darton that accepts on 40 students per term. A friend of mine that just got her license told me that it was easier to get into the summer program because not many students apply for summer term... I hope that I get at least a 20 on the ACT...

I plan on applying to Gadsden State's Nursing program for both Summer and Fall; however, I have to wait until the results of my ACT residual come in. Have you taken the ACT and if so, how did you do?

I too am applying for both the rn and the lpn program for the summer. I was already in a nursing program this past fall but had to withdraw because of financial reasons. I chose a school in Alabama because they will let you sit for the nclex pn after completing the third semester of nursing classes, unlike georgia. I hope that I am accepted into either program this summer. I scored a 66 on the teas so don't feel bad.

I was accepted into the nursing program this past fall;however, had to drop due to personal problems what were unable to rectify themselves. When I was accepted into the nursing program my gpa was a solid 3.0; however, after acceptance, it fell to a 2.5. My school requires that you have a min gpa of 2.7 as well as a teas score of 60 in order to qualify. The director of the nursing program told me that because I had to drop from the program during the first semester, I had to re-submit an application to the program; however, they will use my current teas scores. I just applied and won't know whether or not I have been accepted. I wanted to know what my chances were and has anyone gone those this.
