Feeling useless...

I studied for over a month and a half and finally took and passed my boards. I had 3 rounds of interviews for my DREAM DREAM DREAMMMM job and was waiting for 2 weeks to hear any news and i found out today that candidates have already been selected :( I've been applying for MONTHS for jobs in literally every state possible and still havent heard back from anyone. I'm feeling very frustrated that even though there are so many available RN positions, no hospital is willing to hire new grads. I know its just a matter of getting my foot through the door to gain some experience but at this point it feels like im never gonna get there.....

Its only been 2 months since graduation but i'm worried cause I have to pay loans, and im moving out of my house soon, so everything seems like its not working out :(

any words of encouragement would be truly appreciated

I know of two well-over-50 year old nurses who got hired at hospitals. One took over a year to get hired. She couldn't find a job in CA so took a job in the South East in her chosen specialty. And what an awesome job she landed too! So it can be done. Keep searching! I have many friends who one year out of school are just now getting hired. One became a volunteer at the hospital that ended up hiring him. When talking to the unit manager about it, she said she hired him because he was a volunteer there and wanted to hire one of her own.

So there are many possibilities. :) Keep your mind open. Good luck in your search!

I really do like it here we are high up in the panhandle with I 40 running through the middle of the city. I think you would find the people here friendly. And the weather is not too bad some snow in the winter but usually only once or twice in the season. It does get hot here had a day about 109 a few days ago. Texas is a compact state so if you are from a compact state everything should transfer easily. Hope this helps
