I live in East Arlington but I don't mind driving. We don't need the shoes until we start clinical right? And do you think having one uniform is enough for the first term?

Yes, you only go once a week for 8 weeks, probably not even that. I think we went 5 or 6 times total first term. Second term it is a little easier if you have two. I would give you mine, except I know the patches changed and I am not sure if the design is the same. But I think it is possible if you only have one for awhile. Especially if you take Psych first second term.

If any one has not bought their lab and diagnostic test book, some how or another i ordered two from amazon so i am selling it for 45. The school sells it for $62.25 and its one of the books not included in the box. Let me know! Lindsay

Thanks for the information! I think I will get my shoes right before clinicals start. I also will probably buy another uniform right before second term starts...

Another question,

During second term and the terms after that do we go straight into clinicals or do we have to wait like in first term?

Thanks!:D

Just to let everyone know I found a uniform shop in the regency area that sells nursemate shoes. It's called Life Uniforms!

Great! Thanks!

Tmooney your not the only slacker! I haven't gotten my skills kit yet. I'm broke, everything we had to get just left me dry! I still need my polo and khakis too! Do we need our skills kits for anything before clinicals start? I'm hoping to have the money soon!

you need your skills kit by the second week of class.

Unfortunately you do need the skills kit by the second week of class! Maybe santa will drop you off the money for it!!! :)

Ahh I saw you mention Life Uniform. That is what I meant in the original post, not lifeline lol. Sorry.

You go straight into it. I know you have to go to orientation first, but I think the latest we started actual clinicals was the second week. For Psych, you only go 3 times and it depends on your teacher on when you are going to go to the clinical site.

I am in the FSCJ nursing program. Congrats everyone!! Get ready for a fast but exciting adventure!!

Question for someone who has their Med term books with the evolve online course:

Is the evolve course going to be led by one of our instructors or do we take the course solo. I just opened the pamphlet about the evolve course and it gives us two options to enroll....

IS this the online modual thing Janobia? Also, you said your med term book came with flash cards? I got my dosage calc and med term book but no flash cards:(
