FutureRNMom, it looks like you want to share my goal! I hope to work in OB/GYN as well!!!!!!

Oh yea most definitely! I want to be right there in the labor and delivery room and I also want to help educate mothers on breastfeeding! I have a 2 year old daughter and I breastfed her for 15 months! There are so many benefits to breastfeeding!

I had twins and breastfed them also! That's a chore, LOL!!!! That's a great idea! Good luck.

So looks like we have two more weeks huh? Darn. I was hoping for a Happy Halloween, if you know what I mean.

Tmooney who knows for sure! Someone in Spring 09 had called and they told her the similar thing than the next day packets had made their way to the mailbox! So I am thinking no later than 2 weeks it still can be anytime between today and 2 weeks from now. Less than 450 people applied so that's kind of good news!

So they say ......lol! You don't have to worry girl, you're in I'm sure. But I sure can understand the need to see it in writing. You have to let me know when you get it too ! I feel like we'll get it sooner;)

I overanalyze EVERYTHING so I am sitting here thinking my application has been lost or I forgot to fill out a section on the application, I just want to check my mail and I see SOMETHING from the nursing department, I am seriously going to have an anxiety attack before this is all over lol. Fall term had 568 people so since we have less than 450 applicants I believe that the cutoff maybe knocked down to the high 180s instead, I know a few people who have applied with 200+ and I know a lot of people who have applied with a lot less

That's my exact thoughts! I had a dream last night that I WAS IN!!! It felt really good...in my sleep, LOL!!!! Sure hope I get to relive that feeling! Like I said in a previous post...I have a friend that applied (and was accepted) into SJRCC spring program. I would have made it in there with a 3.8 GPA (They go by GPA there). I am hoping so bad that I didn't "pass up my chance" for the spring! UGH! I have faith that we all should be good =)

The Power of Positive Thinking is Amazing

jkvanso do you live in clay county? I am still waiting on my mailman to come today! LOL

FutureRNmom..... you crack me up! I am sure the letters will arrive early Nov!!!! So you say there is less than 450 appliciants this go around?

Now you have ME stalking the mailman... LOL

Do you mind me asking what your points are???

jkvanso do you live in clay county? I am still waiting on my mailman to come today! LOL

Due to unexpected problems I'm currently living with my MIL by the beaches. Willl be out soon YIPPEEE!!!!

And I'm assuming I'm NOT the only one without a letter today, LOL??????

Watching you all is cracking me up! :) I went through this same thing this past Fall. I hate to burst the bubble but you do realize that two weeks from now will be the start of Week 7. We are now starting Week 5 since the deadline. The news I got was that the Fall term had 658 applicants. I also heard from a friend of mine that actually got into the Fall class, that there are usually less people applying for the Spring which I find is exactly what I want!! I am in Clay so I will be one of those waiting to see if I get one of the 20% of the seats going for out of county applicants. So if they are actually holding 144 seats as they did last Spring then that means that 28 seats will go to out of county applicants. So you see where it starts to be about the points for some of us. I have 215.96 and I am not holding my breath on getting one of those 28. If you live in Duval or Nassau then you have a much lower cut-off point level than those of us not in those counties. After not getting in this past Fall, I am kind of indifferent and it is keeping me sane. Otherwise I would go crazy and then when the bad news came I would be crying, whining, and then be blasted mad. I can't deny that I am a small bit anxious but I am planning and have already signed up for Spring classes. Got to have a plan B at all times. So if I don't get in this Spring, well I will be able to apply at three places in the Fall of next year and not just crusty old FSCJ!

I wish everyone the best of luck and try to find things to occupy your time. You will all give yourselves heart attacks!! :)
