FCCJ Fall 2008

Hello all! Just thought I'd start a thread for all of those folks that have submitted, or are getting ready to submit, their applications for FCCJ's Fall '08 term.

I will be submitting my application in a few weeks, when this Spring term ends. I have taken my NAT (twice), so I'm good to go there, but still need to get my CPR class done. I called several places & I'm waiting to hear back from them.

I look forward to chatting with & getting to know all of you, who will be doing the count-down with me... on getting our acceptance letters!!!

I know it helps to sound-board off each other & to lean on each other for support... especially with getting all the things done that we have to do!

Best of luck & success to all!!!

I know i am a stay at home mom as well, maybe if we have off kilter schedules we can help each other out with child care!!

Say, dizern, that's a good idea! Unfortunately, I'm out in Macclenny but things will work out somehow. Anyone else getting impatient with the waiting? A friend of mine applied to x-ray school at fccj with the same deadline and heard back last week. Ugh!

Your not the only one nurse-n-2010. I am in the Southside area of town also. Acceptance letter time it is getting closer.

Panera! I'm very excited to meet a few of my classmates for the Fall.

We should have one in the westside then another one in the southside. That way we accomodate everyone.

westside girl over here!! panera's sounds cool. it would be funny if we meet up and some of us already know each other from previous classes:p

navywifeim:: so i guess i'm not the only sahm or mother of four :yeah:

I bet it happens.

"Hey! You were in my Anatomy Class!"

LoL.

why do i just stare at the mailbox ALL DAY from my window?!?!?!?!

Seriously...go out and do stuff! lol do anything you will need to get done during your 1st semester...like birthday presents, planning parties, going out with friends, anything...because come first day...you are gonna feel sooo overwhelmed...and not have time for anything but school

I second misswhitney! Seriously people.... enjoy your frinds now. Go to the beach, eat out, enjoy your spare time because you are about to not have any for 16 months. If you need work done to your car or house do it now. Once you start you will spend every free minute you've got doing work. We're almost half way through the semester and I still feel overwhelmed.

DANG, I think that I am the only one that stays on the Southside. Oh well I don't mind driving on that side. I love Panera!! :yeah:

i'm on the southside too actually southside blvd exactly but I'm from OP and will be there starting in Aug...Whhere's the panera on HWY17?

The panera on HW17 is in the Roosevelt Shopping Center. Its further back and close to Okinawa's. If you don't know where the Roosevelt shopping center is, then its close to FCCJ-Kent Campus. Does this Help??

I agree. I'm doing everything I possibly can before I start school. Went to Orlando this last weekend. Getting car stuff done. Making doctor's appointments. And the most important thing...Spending time with the ones I love. There is a down side to this...SPENDING MONEY:(. But I guess that's what work is for. I'm trying to do as much as I possibly can before I begin nursing school and no longer have time to do all of these things. You really sacrifice alot to be in nursing school. But the outcome is sooooo worth it!! I'm not gonna lie. Every time I see the mailbox I hope my acceptance letter is inside. I'm sooo excited.

So...here's a toast to all of us hoping to start nursing school in the fall.."Live it up".
